Aged 10 Dan relocated to Bristol where his musical journey started with the sounds of Tamla Motown, Soul and the Reggae style of the late 60s and a more eclectic taste developed from the 70s onwards, Niel Young, Buffalow Springfield and Van Morrison to name but a few. He started writeing and picked up his first guitar in the early 70s and the move into recording started In 1995 when recording equi
pment became more accessible to the masses, the studio became a hive of activity for djs, drum & bass and hip hop producers and a very cool and experimental period for him. Dan's first release was, State Of Mind, Expose the Hide-Out, a compilation album of artists recording at the studio and released on the Bristol Trip Hop label, Cup Of Tea Records, 3 of his tracks were licensed to 6 various artist dance albums, Secret Affair, (State of mind) Moments of pleasure and Driftin (Dextrous). In 1999 he developed a home studio to focus on his production skills and producing that balance of mixing live and electronic. In 2006 he relocated to Lithuania where during the building of his new studio he met Programmer/Sound engineer Art Bilaisis and artist, vocalist Aja. His first project was writing and producing the album, Laboonava, featuring Aja on vocals, followed by his first solo project the EP Light & Dark. Dan has now returned to Bristol and looking forward to developing the Laboonava project.
