Calling all Business owners…..what are we learning with the Tick Tok Ban fiasco across the pond? 👇
We are learning not to put all our eggs in 1 basket by only using social media to connect with our customers..and to be fair this goes across all platforms..remember that time Facebook shut down for an evening?
If you don't have another way to connect with your followers and potential clients, and the social platforms broke where would your business be?

So my suggestion to you?
GET YOURSELF AN EMAIL LIST!!
You need another way to connect with your customers and potential new ones.📧

And actually, you may well do well from sending the occasional newsletter who already know your business - when you have something interesting to say!

So excited to hear that the Wallace & Gromit's Grand Appeal have announced Gromit Unleashed 3 for this summer!
As Chair of the Chamber Of Commerce in Chipping Sodbury in 2018 our team brought the first Gromit to town - let’s hope they can do it again this year!

This photo taken on the press day for the unveiling of the Gromit holds a special place in my heart, I’d just made a speech and my son was whispering in my ear how proud he was of me 💖
Sometimes it’s good to take a look at what you have achieved as it’s easy to forget!

I don't know about you but I've had many conversations with friends and we literally have had no idea what day it is or what the day 3 days ago was!

Twixmas is that bit between Christmas and New year when no-one knows what day it is, the only chocolates left are the ones you don't like (let's not start a debate on Bounty's) and every meal has cheese, and you are fed up with your family!

I’m old school so it’s all done by pen and paper for me to get around the strategy and content.
Then it’s over to Facebook business suite for Facebook & Instagram scheduling, and Hootsuite for LinkedIn and Twitter.

Real life tales of a social media manager!
I recently quoted a small business for their social media management and Facebook Ads, and the response was 'I could hire another part-time person in my shop for that price'

Well yes, you could....but is that what you need?
What they came to me for is to increase their following, get more eyeballs on their business and increase their sales.. by taking me on you are technically hiring another team member.

So when it comes to investing in your business are you spending your money in the right places according to what you need to grow your business?

How I got here!

Hi, I’m Jo, I love social media! Having worked in both sales and marketing, digital marketing, and in particular social media, social media management was the next logical step for me.

Having managed multiple social media pages ‘in house’ an en employee the next step for me was to set up my own business and work around my 2 boys. I have a marketing diploma from the Cambridge Marketing College and am part of the Techpixes Social Media Superstar programme. I was also Chair of the Chamber of Commerce in Chipping Sodbury from 2016-2018 and was heavily involved in marketing the town. I headed up the team of bringing a famous ‘Bristol Gromit’ to the town in 2018, raising the money from the small businesses in the town.

I love to help small businesses grow their social media presence and get their message to their target audience.
