The 2023 BSSP has been won by Abhishek Sengupta for his stunning story, Things to Do on the Eve of Your Killing! Abhishek's win was announced last night by judges Heather Marks and Dan Ross at Watershed in Bristol.

The moment Abhishel's win was announced as he was being patched into the room from his Kolkata home made it a very special occasion. And we were treated to his a wonderful reading from his story.

11 of the 20 shortlisted writers were at the event, creating a great, celebratory atmosphere. All 20 shortlisted stories are available in our brand new anthology!
