Can't think of creative ideas for your marketing campaigns?💡

Ever found yourself saying:

"I'm just not the creative type"?

"Nothing inspires me"?

"I don't know where to look for inspiration"?

If you sit with these thoughts and don't do anything with them, you're only going to feel worse. So, let's look at them a different way.

Firstly, by assuming or proclaiming that you're not a creative person, you're immediately limiting yourself. Creativity isn't something that's exclusive to certain types of people, so forget the labels.

We ALL have the capacity to be creative but if we have too many rigid ideas about what creativity is, it'll be much harder to tap into. A big part of creativity is letting go of expectations, moving away from fixed/rigid thinking and unleashing the power of your imagination.

Not feeling inspired? Recognise that you're not alone in this. Maybe you're regularly exposed to the same ideas in the same formats, from the same types of people. Perhaps nothing you see is resonating with you.
This isn't necessarily a bad thing. It's a sign that 1. You should probably look elsewhere and 2. You have an opportunity to do something different.

Rather than searching for ideas in the same places, branch out. This doesn't just mean checking out a new competitor or following a different company on LinkedIn, it means seeking inspiration from everything. Closing your laptop. Having a conversation with a stranger. Watching the world go by. Observing real-life scenarios.

Also, recognise the fact that you "not being inspired" is probably a sign that you DO think creatively. Deep down, you know there's something missing because you inherently value ideas that are innovative and unique. You just haven't found them yet.

And, finally, don't expect to feel creative every minute of the day. Whether you've had a bad night's sleep, are facing stress or your physical health isn't the best - ALL of these things can stifle creativity. Don't force it. Take time to recover and then make the most of those moments when you do have the energy to come up with ideas.

Remember: You're more creative than you think. So, give yourself some credit and stop comparing yourself to everybody else! 💫

So... what is it, and why does it work? 💡

Let's face it, you're probably reading this post because you saw the image below and it made you feel something.

This is exactly what emotional advertising does.

Emotional advertising taps into the power of human emotions to make a lasting impression on your audience. It's not just about selling your products or services, it's about connecting with your audience on a deeper level, stirring feelings, and creating memorable experiences. Research has shown that putting pen to paper (or whiteboard in our case!) can enhance memory recall and lead to better processing of information.

So, the next time you want to take presentation notes, jot down ideas or map out your strategy, you might just be better off leaving your laptop closed and letting your pen work its magic!

Struggling to get results from your Google Ads campaigns?

Stop. Doing. THIS ⬇️

When trying to promote your goods and services online, it can be tempting to cast the net wide in a bid to get your ads seen by as many people as possible. 🎣

BUT, more visibility doesn't = more conversions. ☹️

If you're using broad match as the default for your Google campaigns, sure - you might get your ads seen more, but you won't necessarily draw in relevant traffic...

To find people that are genuinely interested in your offering, experiment with "phrase" and "exact" match. By figuring out what your audience are actually looking for, you'll stand a better chance at turning clicks into customers!

Did you know that PPC advertising can be traced back to 1996

- BEFORE Google was even a company? 🤯🤯🤯

PPC advertising was first introduced in Planet Oasis, a virtual city where advertisers could pay to be featured on buildings that users could click on before being redirected to a company website.

Planet Oasis charged these companies a fee for each click and paved the way for other PPC models, such as Open Text, GoTo.com, Overture and Google Adwords.

Planet Oasis eventually faded away, but its legacy remains as part of the history of PPC advertising! 🌆
