I finished building Fulgrim Transfigured earlier this week. He's such a beautiful beast! Not gonna lie though, the cast was absolutely shocking, there is gaps galore, connectors in really stupid places and mold lines across his hair that are all but impossible to fix, and don't even get me started on the parts you have to sculpt yourself because GW/FW can't be bothered to work out how to cast (just convert to printing!) a model properly. Having to sculpt out details myself with the instructions literally saying "expert kit, lol" is real disappointing on a £175 model!! Do better

This evening my Genestealer Cult rose up to overthrow the Imperial scum of their world, only to discover that Nurgle had already claimed them! Round 1 of the .w.a.g_40k league against my friend and it was the Nurgle daemons that we faced off against. I won't be spoiling the result here, you will have to check out my video on YT (I'll post the link when it is uploaded).

It was a great game though and I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Some more progress on the Neophytes painting this afternoon, got the leather done. I'm so slow at painting and really find it a chore to power through, so happy to get these 11 guys next stage done.

So begins the punishing task of Adeptus Titanicus Titan trim painting....

Just the first layers of bronze put down on this Reaver carapace, will be building it up to gold for the finished mini, I can already tell I'm going to be very sick of trim very quickly.

It was bad enough on the 28mm Warhound, maybe it'll be easier on these little ones? 🤷

A busy day airbrushing & drybrushing today!

Got the skeletons of my Knights & Titans done, plus made a start on the armour panels. I've decided on Legio Gryphonicus for my Titan Legion, but didn't have any yellow paint, so only the grey parts of armour panels done.

I also got some colour on some of the awesome terrain pieces!

I'm having a blast painting these models, can't wait to get them tabletop ready, hopefully before Legions Imperialis releases!

I totally forgot to take pictures whilst playing but me & a buddy played Space Hulk this evening for the first time in years.

We had so much fun!

My buddy played the Marines first and we discovered just how apt the name "Su***de mission" is for mission 1, with the Genestealers swarming and tearing apart all of the marines with relative ease.

We decided to swap sides and see if the mission was just impossible or if he got unlucky.

As the marines I proceeded to draw 6 command points for the first three rounds and managed to use those to power up the corridors of the space hulk, blasting Genestealers to pieces along the way, when some of the Genestealers finally broke through they tore down two marines with ease, but the Sargent managed to clear a path whilst the flamer made his way through the corridors towards the control room that was his target, a brave stand from the Sargent and a fellow terminator bought the Flamer a moment's time to get to the target room. As the flamer was about to turn the corner into the final corridor one Genestealer made a charge for him, with only enough AP to make a single attack the terminator managed to fend of the Genestealers terrifying assault, and with barely a moment to spare managed to draw enough bonus command points to get down the corridor, open the door and burn the control room that was the target.

An exhilarating game that went about as well as it could do for the marines and still it took a lot of luck to achieve the mission, at times it looked doomed to failure going right down to a single dice roll at the end, much whooping and lamenting occurred.

I can't wait to get Space Hulk on the table again!
