Ahead of their debut UK live performance at The Great Escape, MOON MATES release “Not Today”, a powerful and raw expression of cutting ties with a toxic, narcissistic person. It tells a story of standing up for oneself and taking control of your life by walking away from someone who no longer serves you. With an infectious rhythm and a catchy hook, this song blends pop sensibilities with rock edge. It is accompanied by a music video (shot on a soccer field with a choleric coach) that brings the song’s message to life.

''With this EP we are going back to where we started, keeping what we learned with the 2nd album and having fun experimenting with new found sounds and energy. Finding inspiration from the COVID hangover, intense therapy sessions, pain and love, anger and happiness. It's a mood board for how a lot of us seemed to have felt in 2021/22. Expect deep and meaningful lyrics, new sick and wild bass sounds and dubbed out drums all tied to together to make a cocktail of noise and energy''.
