It'll be alright on the night! ✌🏻
Things don't always go according to plan behind the scenes, but we enjoy these bloopers too much not to share them!
WHAT A YEAR 💥
As we log off for our well-earned break, here’s a quick look back at some of the amazing moments that made 2024 unforgettable. ✨
🎉 Being nominated for an award with Toupret UK.
🎶 Attending nine incredible concerts with the Brighton Philharmonic.
🎤 James speaking at Brighton SEO.
📣 Covering live events for the Royal College of Occupational Therapists and Brighton & Hove Chamber of Commerce.
🎊 Fabulous events all over Brighton.
🧡 Collaborating with MOREVER for Centrepoint.
🌱 Launching One Acre Fund's 'More Than A Tree' campaign.
🎟️ Helping Brighton Early Music Festival surpass their sales targets.
🍰 And let’s not forget all the cake (thanks, Runway East).
It’s been a whirlwind, and now we’re off to lie down for a bit.
See you in 2025! ✌🏻
Watch til the end for the silliest portraits you ever did see! 😅
To celebrate an amazing year, we went all out at our Christmas party. We started with a festive photoshoot, then unleashed our inner artists by painting portraits of each other, with absolutely hilarious results! 🎨
The night ended on a high note with a feast of East-Asian plant-based delights at Bonsai. Let’s just say our eyes were bigger than our stomachs, but every bite was worth it. What a fantastic way to wrap up the year! 🎊
P.S. Thinking of commissioning a custom portrait? We might be taking orders. 😜
In honour of #SocialMediaManagersDay, we asked the team for their ✨ controversial ✨ social media confessions! (the last one may shock you 😲)
Whether you live to see your posts go slightly viral or dislike that one trend everyone's hopping on, please make us feel better and share your confession. 👇 🥹
Where did that time go Runway East?! 🥳
It's been a whole year since we moved in!
Since then, we've enjoyed many shenanigans around the building, including but not limited to disco dancing, hobit hole hide-aways, and craft club creations! 🎉
Oh and cake, lots of cake! 🍰
What are we waiting for? 👀✨

Parties to pitches July was a hot month here at Social Firefly! 🥳
We started the month with a bang at our summer bash and ended it with some exciting secret projects. Somehow surviving the heat and a broken AC in between. 🏖️
(PS did you spot what exciting thing James is preparing for in october 👀)

Did you know it's World Emoji Day today? It's also Disability Pride Month, so let's talk about why using too many emojis in your posts can be inaccessible.
Every emoji basically has alt text, so when a screen reader sees an emoji it’ll read out that text, for instance 😸 is translated as “Grinning Cat Face With Smiling Eyes”; use it more than once and it’ll be repeated, that’s just annoying!
While emojis are great for telling universally understood visual stories and creating interest, you need to use them sparingly so people using screen readers can appreciate your content.
Remember that good communication should be simple, too. The more emojis you use, the more it can complicate your message. And in this fast-paced social world, you don't want to overcomplicate things, or people will scroll on by! Stick to three or four emojis at most!
