Brighton & Hove City Council BME Workers Forum

Brighton & Hove City Council BME Workers Forum Brighton & Hove City Council’s BME (Black & Minority Ethnic) Workers’ Forum is an organisation that represents BME employees.

This is page for members, supporters and allies. Links aren't neccessarily endorsements. Much of our work is internally-focussed, and revolves around offering BME staff development opportunities, creating networks of support and helping them with discrimination where it occurs. However we also do outreach to involve the many diverse ethnic minority communities in the city in the council’s work.

Dear All

The Invest4 programme has extended the application deadline to 17th October.

We still have enough grant money available to support around 30 more SME businesses and sole traders wanting to invest in their businesses with grants between £1,000 and £6,000.
Grants are for up to 30% of eligible costs and paid retrospectively.

If you are not sure whether to submit or not, you can call the Invest4 team (07594647087) in the first instance to check if your business and project are eligible.
You can use an Invest4 grant for things such as equipment and machinery, consultancy services or website improvements or launches for example.

To check eligibility, we will ask you:
• WHAT do you want to buy?
• WHEN do you want to buy it?
• HOW are you going to buy it?
• HOW much will it cost?
• WHAT changes will result because of it?

To get an application pack email [email protected]

Kind regards,
Mirco

The deadline for applications is 3rd October and we are looking for businesses/sole traders to apply who want to invest in one or two items, which they would intend to pay for pretty much straight away after having their application approved.
This could be a new bit of machinery or equipment, or a new or re-designed website or any short consultant activity, as it needs to be finished by the end of December 2022 at the latest.
We are avoiding funding building works as there is increasing risk they will over run, and we are looking for quick turnarounds - which also means we want to pay the grant quickly!

Get money from the Invest4 grant fund to help your business, find out if your business is eligible and what you can use the money for.
