Today, December 24th, another Christmas nears.
I try to keep tradition up while holding back my tears.

I know I have been blessed for all the many years
of love and joy and family and times we had to share.

The presents wrapped, the tree is lit, the wreath upon the door,
but pondering all the Christmases past and tears begin to fall.

This Christmas will be different,
for some aren't here through choice and some aren't here at all .

Then I dry my tears and say to myself, I have my children so I still have it all, they always lift me when I fall.

Now I promise to make Christmas joy for those I still have here, my children, my earth, my air.
and put a smile upon their face while we have time to share.

Even when the holidays bring a mix of joy and sorrow, Christmas can still hold meaningful moments. If you’re experiencing a range of emotions this season, remember that it’s okay to feel this way. The season can still be meaningful, even in difficult times. Hold close the memories of past Christmases, honor the love of those no longer with you, and let these quotes remind you that you’re not alone in feeling both the joy and the bittersweet beauty of the season.

I’ve spent so much of my life being the strong one—the one who keeps it together when everything feels like it’s falling apart, the one who pushes through even when the weight feels unbearable.

I’m so used to wearing that strength like armor that I almost forget what it feels like to be soft, to let my guard down. That’s why being treated with kindness means more than words can express. It’s not about needing someone to save me—I can handle the hard stuff—but feeling safe enough to be vulnerable, even for a moment.

When you’re used to carrying so much, even the smallest acts of gentleness feel like a reminder that I don’t have to be strong all the time, that it’s okay to rest. And sometimes, that’s exactly what I need.

So, after the longest break! I'm coming back to Facebook to do what you all know me for, cooking and baking, of course! 😁

I'm so excited!!!

I will be back full time in January, BUT you will be seeing me before then with some new recipes and some classics too! (And a bloody good chinwag of course 😆).

I was just looking back at old photos I've posted, I came across the first two pictures and wow!!! 😬
I never realized how different I looked 😳 but I remember how unhappy I was back then, I was so uncomfortable in my own skin and it really took a toll on my health too! 😮‍💨
There's a 49lb difference between the 1st and last pic but the real difference is how much happier I am now! No, I'm not where I'd like to be weight wise but I feel comfortable in myself now! It has been a long journey but I have managed to keep the weight off that I've lost so far, so for me slow and steady wins the race! 💯
I still have around 30lb to lose before I'm in a healthy range if I go by my BMI, but I go by happiness and I've never been happier 😁...

This is why she's single.

She is saving herself for someone who has genuine intentions with her from the very first conversation.

She does crave love and affection, but she is at the point in her life where she isn't going to let temporary people touch her mind, body or soul.

She is done having shallow conversations with people who didn't deserve her precious time in the first place.

Throughout the years, she has experienced trauma that has taken an unfortunate toll on her mental health, and she will never settle for someone who will make her question her own selfworth ever again.

She knows how valuable her life is, and she isn't afraid to continue on this journey alone because she is done with false fronts from people with hidden agendas.

The truth is ......

She's the true definition of an anomaly in this generation, and her elegant heart has more love to give than the number of synapses in the human brain, and let's not forget her soul....

Her soul reaches beyond the stars into galaxies that will be unknown for centuries to come.
