**PARKING AT THE STUDIO**

Just a polite reminder to all of our customers, that we have had a couple of issues regarding parking at the industrial estate where the studio is based.

We have enough space for 8 cars directly outside the studio, and can fit possibly another 3-4 more if you park horizontally in front of your band mates, this is fine to do so, provided that no main roads or fire exits are blocked, and that other cars and emergency vehicles can comfortably fit through when travelling to the surrounding businesses.

We respect that for some of you it's simply impossible to car share, but if every band member is driving themselves to practice, this can average between 15-20 vehicles! Please car share where possible! :)

**DRUMMERS!**
We now have a small space available for solo practice sessions, priced at just £15 for a 1 hour session with full drum kit included!

This space can also be used for music tuition sessions, and any other activities requiring a smaller room.

Please note that this is not currently available on our booking system (eventually it will be!), so for all booking enquiries, please drop us a message either on here, WhatsApp, or email [email protected]

Hi, Ash here, hope you’re all well!

I just thought I’d take the time to answer some common questions and confusion regarding the online booking system:

“I think the system is down, no times are showing!”

- If no times are showing for the room you want to book, it means that room is booked out! Please choose another room if available 🙂

- If no times are showing at all on the particular day you want in any of the rooms, don’t worry, the system is NOT broken, it means we are FULLY BOOKED on that day!
Unfortunately this means you will need to pick another day to rehearse.

“I’ve booked a guitar/bass cabinet, does this come with an amp”

- NO, booking a guitar or bass cab,
will be placed in your room as described.. a SPEAKER CABINET only, under the assumption that you will be bringing your own guitar or bass amp head and necessary cables.

- Please do not book these items if you require an amp for your instrument, as we do not currently have any working guitar and bass amps in our inventory.
We will let you know as soon as we have available stock of guitar and bass amps to hire, and these will be added to the system as individual entities, separate to the speaker cabinets.

“I need a full drum kit, what do I need to add to my booking”

- Hireable drum kits are split into 3 separate bookable items:
Drum shells (drums only with necessary mounting hardware)
Drum hardware (hi hat and cymbal stands)
Cymbals

It is split this way to accommodate the fact that some drummers bring their own hardware and cymbals, and only need the physical drums.

If you require a full drum kit, you must add ALL 3 of the above to your booking!

**UPDATE**

Hi all, Ash here.. just to let let you know that as of Tuesday next week, I will be back from my travels (albeit a bit jet lagged!), so everything will go back to normal and daytime sessions will be available to book again!

In addition to this, we also have some changes to our pricing structure to announce in the next couple of weeks (don’t panic, you’ll like this change!!)

We appreciate your support and patience in our ever-evolving pursuit of making our business the best it can be for you!

**TEMPORARY DAYTIME CLOSURES**

For the next 3 weeks, due to a temporary staffing situation, we will be closed from 10am til 5:30pm on weekdays, limiting rehearsals to our peak times only. Weekends, however, will remain as usual!

We had a vision when transforming the studio into we feel would represent “Emperor Studios”. We have a longgggg way to go yet before the whole studio is complete, but we just thought we’d share a preview to what you can expect from us over the next couple of years. This is what Room 5 now looks like, after a complete make over (unfortunately we forgot to take an actual “before” photo so we’re using another room as reference!). Every room will eventually get this treatment, along with some ambient lighting, professional acoustic treatment, and so home comforts for the ultimate rehearsal experience! We cannot wait to show you everything fully finished, and we’d like to thank all of our loyal bands and artists for sticking with us through this long process. The wait will be worth it!

IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR ALL BANDS/ARTISTS WHO BOOK WITH US!

National Grid have informed us that they’ll be cutting the power on Monday 20th of this month, from 9am-4pm for scheduled maintenance. Theoretically this should not affect anyone booking an evening rehearsal, but given their track record with power outages in the past, to save disappointment we advise everyone not book a rehearsal on this date. Anyone who already has booked on the 20th will be contacted directly to either rearrange the slot or worst case be given a refund if needed.

ANNOUNCEMENT - CHANGE OF BUSINESS OPERATION FROM OCTOBER 2023:

So, since opening as Emperor Studios in May, we have heard from some of you that booking in the studio via phone has proven to be a little bit of a pain… lots of missed phone calls, confusion over who to contact and what contact number to use etc, and although we have taken every step we possibly can to make this a smooth process, the reality is that it is very difficult and long winded method to keep up with in this day and age.

So, that being said.. we have made the decision to move with the times a bit, and from next week, we will be moving to an ONLINE-ONLY BOOKING SYSTEM. What this means for you guys, is that you will no longer need to call or message the studio in order to make bookings, but instead we will be re-directing everyone to a website link, where you can book yourself into the studio, and also choose any additional hire gear you would like added to your session.

Obviously this is going to be super convenient for many of our customers, and we are very excited to finally implement it into our business, but it will mean an adjustment to our current booking policies as follows:

The 2 hour minimum booking for bands, will now rise to a 3 hour minimum booking.

You will no longer be able to pay on the day, but instead will be paying for your session at the time of booking. This will also act as the holding fee for cancellations made within 24 hours. Anyone cancelling in advance to the 24 hours will be given the appropriate refund, based on our amended policies which will be clearly visible on the website when it’s up.
