It is with an extremely heavy heart that we announce that after a brave battle with cancer the passing of BHR contributor and wife of station manager Wayne, Janet Williams. Jan, whilst never actually signing any volunteer paperwork, was a big part of our station, always on hand as our chief buffet chef, and she even turned her hand to a bit of presenting during the pandemic presenting a Tuesday evening show with husband Wayne. Jan was loved by all who met her and was always the voice of reason here at the station. She will be truly missed by us all, and our thoughts and love go to Wayne and his family at this time. x ❤️

Jan's funeral will be held on Thursday 18th April at 12:00 in Coychurch Crematorium.

It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of BHR Volunteer Alan Butler. Alan passed away this morning after a battle with MND. Alan fought his illness with extreme courage and determination continuing to broadcast with us to share his passion and knowledge of music to our audience. Alan will be greatly missed by us all at BHR, and we will never forget him. Alan was a kind and friendly soul always willing to lend a hand at every opportunity, and dare I say quite the quizzer! Our thoughts and condolences go out to Angela, Alan’s wife, and his family. x ❤️

The tech gremlins have struck again! If you’ve listened to BHR over the last couple of days you’d have noticed that our sound quality is very distorted at present. The issue is related to our streaming computer which we are trying to fix. We are also currently having issues with our broadcast PC, so at the moment the two PCs we have are not functioning properly. We are trying to fix the issue but as we are run by volunteers with other full time jobs and so it can be struggle at times to fix things in a timely manner. We will keep our stream running for the time being, but we apologise for the quality of our stream, this is not a reflection of the quality of programming we want to provide. Once again apologies from all the team, we will keep you updated via our social media platforms when we are back up and running fully. The BHR team.

** IT Expertise Needed **

We’ve recently experienced a few technical problems at BHR after changing internet providers which has meant our playout computer is no longer playing ball. We’ve done all we can when it comes to googling the issues and trying to fix it ourselves to no avail, so now we’re seeking an IT Wizard to come and have a look at our systems and help us try and fix our problems. If anyone could come and help we would greatly appreciate it.. drop us a message or email [email protected] if you think you may be able go help us.

We will be joining the rest of the United Kingdom in an act of remembrance today at 11:00am and Sunday 12th November at 11:00am when we will observe a two minute silence to reflect on the service and sacrifices the Armed Forces make on our behalf.
