I cannot believe that a week's time will be the eve of Megan Jayne's Family Fun Day in aid of SANDS Cardiff & Newport, really hope that the weather will be on our side and we can have a fun filled day. Lots of raffle prizes to be won, plenty of entertainment for the children and lots of stalls for adults to browse and buy some fantastic goods from.

Megan Jayne's Family Fun Day in aid of SANDS Cardiff & Newport Megan Jayne's Family Fun Day 11th May 2024 11 - 4
Fully booked with stalls, currently looking for any local businesses between Bridgend and Cardiff that would be willing to donate some prizes towards the raffle. Anything would be gratefully received, all proceeds from the day go to a cause close to my heart and very worthy of any donations raised.

Saw this and thought I'd post it as I know Christmas can be a difficult time for us all. Sending you all love and hugs xx

For me Christmas is all about family and this time last year we were so excited thinking that this year we would have Morgan with us. Our meetings are held on the first Wednesday of the month, 7pm till 9pm. Currently due to the pandemic we are holding them virtually on Zoom.

During the meetings it is a time where predominately mothers can come and share/listen to experiences where they are understood and cared for by trained befrienders, and other bereaved mums in confidential surroundings. Fathers, and Grandparents are also able to attend the meetings.

Although we are closely linked and supported by Sands we are an independent group who have charitable status, this is so that funds raised by the group and donations received can be used for the local community.

Each year at Christmas we have a tree at Nolton Church Tree Festival which is decorated by our mums, we hold a memorial service in January and a humanistic balloon release in September.

We have a group page where events are posted, and bereaved parents are able to interact with each other, and share their stories.
