Choose from a selection of experiences to suit your style, experience and field of interest.

Courses run throughout the year (almost every week) and new dates are released every couple of months.

We offer several different packages so whether you are interested in making decorative work, forging tools or blade forging then we have the perfect experience for you.

We offer the following one day courses:

The Blacksmith Experience - £165 per person

Axe Making - £180 per person

Knife making 101 - £180 per person

At Middle Row Forge we provide top tier, professional instruction, a well equipped workshop and a true love and enthusiasm for the craft.

The smallest of our current range "The Pioneer"

Hand forged from En9 medium carbon steel and fitted with a 16inch straight hickory handle these axes are supplied razor sharp and ready to work.

Designed to be easily carried in a rucksack or even on a belt the Pioneer is excellent for tasks like cutting branches, dressing game, splitting sticks and even crafting.

This is also the style of axe we teach on our extremely popular axe making days

Here is the brand new grinding station (almost finished)
Featuring two brand new house built 50x2000 belt grinders mounted onto a nice, chunky house made bench.
A few minor details still to be completed but I'm looking forward to putting these machines to work and training up some of my students to use them

it's that time again - we have just added a bunch of new course dates to the online schedule from now until November.

There are new dates for all three of our popular one day courses

- the blacksmith experience (beginners class) £165 per person
- axe making £180 per person
-knife making 101. £180 per person
