We’ve specialised in getting superb TV signals since 1993. But two of today’s jobs were tricky…
The first one, a lovely customer in a bungalow on the outskirts of Tong, who was having severe break up of their Freeview signals in two rooms. The aerial was still in good condition, some 6 years after it was installed by another company. But we knew something was fishy after measuring the signal levels - which were very low.
Once on the roof, we found this little indoor splitter tucked under the lead flashing, which was making the signal levels even poorer. We replaced this with a masthead amplifier and adjusted its gain to give perfect signals in both rooms.
Once the customer’s TVs had been correctly retuned to the Emley Moor transmitter, Freeview reception was perfect.
The next job, in Brontë country proved to be another test of our abilities. The Freeview signal strength here was awful and would have required an aerial way up above the roofline of this lovely new build home.
Fortunately, the customer’s Samsung TV had Freesat built in, so we offered the option of a dish - at a fraction of the cost of what’d have been needed for the Freeview installation.
We installed this dish discretely at the rear of the property, keeping it out of view from the roadside. Once aligned and the TV was correctly tuned in, signals were perfect.
