Bolton has been affected by widespread disruption caused by high winds and fallen trees today, including one on the A666.

Queues formed outside a new fast food outlet in Middlebrook Retail and Leisure Park today, - with the first hundred customers getting free food. Emergency services were called to Ainsworth Lane in Tonge Moor on Wednesday night after a crash in which a car flipped on its side. It's the latest crash to have taken place in Bolton, within recent weeks - and on another crash-plagued road.
