We've been working away behind the scenes on larder. 2.0 as well as an abundance of graze box orders (we've now had to close our diary while we catch up - thank you!!!) 🌞

To make things more streamline and consistent, we've brought Amber on board to manage the social media side of larder. + she'll be responding to your messages and enquiries going forward ✨

From the moment we met we knew she was the one who could not only communicate with all of you but also help with content for our socials. You may see her in the shop from time to time taking pics + being creative.

The Freelance Dream: Myth or Reality? — with Society1 and Creative Lancashire ✍️

Last night, Madi and I went to Society1’s co-working space to attend an event about uncovering how four freelancers in different areas have found their journey, diverse experiences and any advice for new or soon-to-be freelancers.

A lot of the topics resonated with me throughout the night. However, my two main takeaways were:

To have multiple income streams — deep dive into different areas I offer as a freelancer, whether it is social media management, content creation, caption/blog/newsletter writing, selling my photography prints (which I’ve thought about for a while, writing it here might give me some accountability lol)

— It is normal to experience imposter syndrome at times still. A few of the panel said it took between 2/3-10 years to feel fully in control of their work! However, none said they would change their freelance career for anything!

I'm back from Amsterdam and feeling more inspired than ever ✨

Last week I switched off from freelance life (mostly) and spent 5 days visiting art galleries, taking photos at any opportunity and generally slowing down.

This week I have started work with a new client, another client is in launch, and I am catching up with others to prepare for the month ahead!

With this being my first new year working freelance, I didn't know what to expect - I have had clients go on pause because we are in the quieter period of the year and therefore have had to learn to embrace the quiet.

Now I am back, it is full steam ahead! 💨
