The Freelance Dream: Myth or Reality? โ with Society1 and Creative Lancashire โ๏ธ
Last night, Madi and I went to Society1โs co-working space to attend an event about uncovering how four freelancers in different areas have found their journey, diverse experiences and any advice for new or soon-to-be freelancers.
A lot of the topics resonated with me throughout the night. However, my two main takeaways were:
To have multiple income streams โ deep dive into different areas I offer as a freelancer, whether it is social media management, content creation, caption/blog/newsletter writing, selling my photography prints (which Iโve thought about for a while, writing it here might give me some accountability lol)
โ It is normal to experience imposter syndrome at times still. A few of the panel said it took between 2/3-10 years to feel fully in control of their work! However, none said they would change their freelance career for anything!

Something a little different but seems as I havenโt posted in a while, I thought Iโd share!
Future Fashion Fair โจ
Last weekend, Future Fashion Fair held an incredible day full of fashion stalls, music, food, workshops and talks.
FFFโs mission is to make sustainable fashion affordable and accessible for everyone โ I went with 4 pals and they all found at least one item to suit their personal style, from a range of second hand, vintage and handmade vendors (I copped a Ganni sweatshirt from the lovely Margot & Lux Manchester Curated Vintage Shop whoโs stall you can see at the beginning of the video!) โป๏ธ
My friend Ellie, also introduced me to the gals at Genuinely Conscious โ the aim our their creative agency is to re-imagine our relationship with fashion. They are currently working on a study to deep-dive into the consumption habits of Gen-Z. If you want to get involved, check out their socials ๐
