Back in April I met up with The Mandrills here in our home town of Blackpool for a shoot.

At the time I had to keep it under wraps… because one of the shots was going to be used as the cover art for their brand new EP, Where to Begin!

Now that it’s out in the world, I can finally share a few favourites from that day 🙌

Revival Festival 2025 – A Legendary Farewell

Saturday at Revival Festival 2025 was something special. The energy, the passion, the sheer love for live music—it was electric. As the final ever Revival, the crowd knew this was their last chance to make it unforgettable, and they absolutely delivered.

This was my first time shooting the festival, and what a way to experience it. Every band brought their A-game, and the atmosphere was incredible—from the pounding drums to the voices of hundreds singing in unison. The connection between the artists and the crowd was unreal, a proper send-off for a festival that clearly meant so much to so many.

Honoured to have captured a piece of this final chapter. Revival may be over, but the memories and music will live on.

📸 Capturing the Sound of Urban Hymns 🎶

This gig was one for the books! Had the pleasure of photographing Urban Hymns at The Pub in Lancaster, and they absolutely smashed it. Epic tunes, electric atmosphere, and a crowd that knew every word—this is why I love shooting gigs!

Live music has a raw energy that’s unbeatable, and getting to freeze those moments in time is what it’s all about. If you were there, you know what I mean!

Another great song from NO IDEA set at AstroDog Band open mic in October at Layton Institute. No Idea will be performing live tonight The Galleon Bar, Blackpool if you're out out go check them out and show some support to a great local band.

🎤🎶 Had the amazing opportunity to film and photograph the talented at HMV Blackpool this past weekend! 🙌 Ray is known for writing and performing his own material, but this time he treated us to some special tracks that are featured on *The Fall Guy* soundtrack📚🎬

John Cheetham the writer behind *The Fall Guy* was there with Ray and introduced many of the songs that Ray brought to life. 🎸✨

Also big thanks go out to my 2nd shooter for the day Lisa Horseman (the wife) who took the shots of me. It's not often you get to see me in posts lol!

Last month AstroDog Band invited me to cover the Layton Institutes open mic night.

AstroDog as hosts kicked off the night with a small set, setting the tone for what was an amazing evening of quality local acts. I was truly blown away with the level of talent on display.

Rafael and Peter from AstroDog support each act with setting up, making sure the levels are all set, displaying the acts logo or album cover on the screen behind the artists and making sure every act gets their full alloted time.

AstroDog have invited me once again to shoot the next open mic.

The next open mic night at the Layton institute is 18th July starting at 7:30pm.

Come down to the Layton Institure for a FREE night of music and support some amazing artists from across the Fylde Coast!
