We will be joined by our good friends Metoatee & Millie Rose Textiles at the Myles Records presents: LIFT OFF providing live exhibitions and goods!🛍🚀

Metoatee are a vintage store located at 20 Lord St West, Blackburn. They offer curations of clothing and cultural artefacts inspired by the youth movements of today and yesterday. In particular the Acid House movement in the North West of England. On display will be some of their finest goods. 👕🧢

Millie Rose Textiles designs 1/1 pieces using a tufting process. These original designs have caught the attention of leading brands such as Size? and HomeMCR. With her work selling out almost instantly you'll want to see what is on offer at the event. Millie will be treating you to a live exhibition of the process carried out to create the pieces. 🪡🎨

The Rafters will be taking to the stage this Friday at Sunbird Records for the Myles Records presents: LIFT OFF event to rock the roof off 🚀

The Rafters are gritty, guitar led post punk band made up of vocalist and guitarist Nat Griffiths 🎙️🎸, Guitarist Joe Roscow 🎸, bassist Ryan McDermott 🎸 and drummer George Whittingham🥁

After forming in Blackburn, they have established quite a name for themselves with energetic live performance that have not gone unnoticed, earning them prestigious support slots around the UK. This band is a force to be reckoned with 🔥

Expect rhythmic, rage-fuelled and boasting surging riffs, Griffiths’ hypnotic and irate vocals stagger in and out of poetic chants, battling over chaotic drums and the razor-sharp bass lines 🤘🏼

Watch out for their upcoming single release 'Murder Mile' dropping on the 8th of July you'll be some of the first to hear it live 👀

First up on Friday is Cory Devine a Blackburn fella with a style like no other. Expect to be hit with a witty northern charm over big New York hip-hop beats 💥 His albums 'Better late than never' & ' These shoes ain't loyal' tell the story of a day in the life of a young working class man. You'll hear influences of the streets and a tribe called quest in the tracks which are inspirations of Cory.

A week on from the launch event and we are still on a high. The response and support we've had from everyone has been outstanding. Thank you to all the wonderful creatives involved with the event and all you lovely people that came down to celebrate with us.

The Launch tickets can now be collected down at our good friends Metoatee.

Make sure to pop in when you're in town they have a curation of clothing and cultural artefacts inspired by the youth movements of today and yesterday. In particular the Acid House movement in the North West of England. With a focus on creativity and community they like to work collaboratively with local artists and creatives to organise events and exhibitions. The shop and hub at 20 Lord Street West, Blackburn is open every weekend you'll be greeted with good chat and be able to browse some of the finest garments in the area.

Metoatee and Millie Rose Textiles will be hosting pop-up shops at The Launch event on 04.03.2022. Offering exclusive items for purchase.

Sadly Sunbird records recently lost a legend Jonathan Lindley a much loved icon within the local music scene. We will donating part of the events proceeds to a charity, in memory of Jonathan 🔴.
