Hey wonderful people !
Sorry for the radio silence... We’ve been making some changes behind the scenes before we decide to hit the Go button for 2024 entries. I (Jo) have decided to resign from the business as the last few years have reminded me that I’m an artist and need to be focusing my time primarily on my own art, which I’ve neglected for too long. I’ve struggled with this decision as I know the difference the Awards have made to so many, and I often feel selfish when I focus on me, but it’s got to the point where I have no choice and so, will move forward as sole Director and Shareholder, and he will no doubt continue to ensure the business supports our music community as best it can. As and when my support is needed I will still aim to give it.
I’ve had a total blast, with so many opportunities created for the awesome talent in the region since our launch in 2017; and with relationships, friends for life and memories made. But now it’s time for the next chapter, for me, and for the Birmingham Music Awards.
I salute you all. You’ve blown my mind with your talent, your graciousness, your support for each other and your great city. Keep creating as I know you will, and as will I. It’s always all about the music.
