LET THERE B/DC - THE BILLESLEY ROCK CLUB SAT 21ST DEC 2024
Rounding off the pre-Christmas weekend at The Billesley Rock Club on Saturday we had the ever popular and most excellent Let There B/DC - Ac/dc Tribute Band for our aural and visual delights! Once again, a packed house was treated to two awesome sets of all things AC/DC, reinforcing their reputation as the most authentic sounding tribute to one of Australia's finest exports. These guys are regular visitors to the BRC and I don't see that changing anytime soon. Thanks again for a great night of live music guys and our best Christmas and New Year wishes to you all. As ever, our thanks must go to all the lovely people who came out to support the venue, the band and live music. You really rock and on behalf of our hosts Nancy, Bear, Darren and Nigel, a very happy, safe and peaceful Christmas to each and every one of you.

WEST COAST EAGLES - BILLESLEY ROCK CLUB FRI 20TH DEC 2024
To kick off this year's Christmas festivities at the Billesley Rock Club, we had venue faves and the Midlands own Unofficial: West Coast Eagles, a tribute to Los Angeles' legendary Eagles, exponents of rock in it's soft, folk and country forms, perhaps with the odd heavier touch thrown in here and there. Our musicians tonight always attract a good crowd with tonight being no exception and the reward was two sets of Eagles classics and evergreens with a particular stand out for me being their rendition of Don Henley's BOYS OF SUMMER. What a great song! These guys play with great skill and lot's of good humour, to which the crowd always respond positively and enthusiastically and that all adds up to a great atmosphere in the room. Thanks for a fabulous night of music lads and have a great, safe Christmas. To our awesome patrons we say thank you for continuing to support the venue and live music, something that is very much appreciated by our hosts Nancy, Bear, Darren and Nigel and due reward for their continued hard work bringing the best acts to the BRC stage.

THE QUO - AKA THE 4 ROSSIS - THE BILLESLEY ROCK CLUB FRI 6TH DEC 2024
With yet more stormy, unpredictable UK weather on the way in the shape of Storm Darragh, the Billesley Rock Club would be totally predictable on Friday evening in maintaining the high end musical status quo that the venue has become renowned for, How apt, then, that tonight's bill featured The Quo - aka - The 4 Rossis, a tribute to the 12-bar blues masters Status Quo's 1969 to 1977 era. The Rossis were returning venue favourites and as usual gave a polished two set rendition of twenty-six Quo classics. Excellent musicianship and great crowd interaction is the name of the game for these four guys, so if you wanna get Down Down, take a Slow Train or even hit the Wild Side of Life, the Rossis will get you Rocking All Over, wherever you are! Thanks to our performers for a great night of live music and also to you, our patrons, for supporting the band, live music and the venue, which keeps on bringing the best sounds to you gig lovers. The BRC team hopes you all stay safe and well as Storm Darragh passes by and we'll see you again soon.

MELVIN HANCOX BAND HAPPENINGS - BILLESLEY ROCK CLUB FRI 22ND NOV 2024
Friday night at the Billesley Rock Club should have seen a double bill of the Melvin Hancox Band Happenings.. with support from Catwalk Villains, however the CV's had to cancel due to band illness, so we send them our best wishes for a speedy recovery. Nevertheless the evening's respectably sized crowd were guaranteed top-drawer music from Melvin, James Hoskins and Micky Barker, all three of whom have pedigrees you just couldn't buy! If blues and rock are your thing, then MHBH is for you, but add in a bit of psychedelia infused prog as well and you have a job lot! Having captured previous BRC appearances by the band, the last being in September, no more words are required as I'd just be repeating myself! It just leaves me to wish a very happy birthday to Melvin for Thursday and to thank the band for their usual outstanding performance of fine tunes. As ever, our grateful thanks go to you, our patrons for turning out in support of a fabulous band, live music and the Rock Club; it makes the hard work put in behind the scenes by hosts Nancy, Bear, Darren and Nigel truly satisfying. Saturday will see one of the best tributes to Thin Lizzy tread our boards, so if you're at a loose end pop along and enjoy an evening with the awesome DIZZY LIZZY.

Friday night at the Billesley Rock Club saw new band Kimberlite take to the stage, opening up for Wizards of Oz (The Ozzy Osbourne Tribute).

A mix of covers and self-penned provided in what they say is "good old fashioned stoner rock" and more than worthy of a gallery of their own!

So it's Saturday night at the Billesley Rock Club and proving to be very popular yet again was Sabbotage Tribute to Black Sabbath.

First off though was a band new to the Club with their third ever gig !!! We all welcomed Hard Rock Company to the stage who superbly stormed through a ream of well known hits from Free and Bad Company. Looking forward to seeing these guys again next year.

FRED ZEPPELIN - BILLESLEY ROCK CLUB FRI 8TH NOV 2024
The Billesley Rock Club had lined up a top evening of live music on Friday in the shape of the returning excellent Fred Zeppelin, an outfit guaranteed to draw a large crowd, such is their reputation as a top tribute to the mighty Led Zeppelin. Being huge fans of London's globally acclaimed rock legends, the Fredz aim to honour the music without being out and out imitators, and I can safely say that after thirty years plus as a unit, despite a few personnel changes down the line, they have truly mastered their art! On the menu tonight were two sets of over twenty LZ classics, all enthusiastically appreciated by a packed venue! Thanks for another great evening, guys, you rock! As ever, thanks also go to our amazing venue supporters for helping to keep live music well and truly alive, as it won't happen without you all. The BRC team, Nancy, Bear, Darren and Nige, continue to work hard behind the scenes to bring us the best in music, so check out the venue posters and flyers for upcoming events. Finally, thanks to The Billesley bar staff, especially Bear's favourite, Maisie, for their hard work in keeping glasses full.
