We wanted simple songs with undeniable groove at every turn. Vocals you can sing along to & rhythm that keeps you head banging. Lyrically, our themes revolve around navigating mental health as Adam Cody’s sings about suicidal thoughts and finding peace in being an atheist, substance abuse, political ideologies, aging in the music industry and more."

About the main album theme, they add: "A Rat King refers to when a group of Rats has lived in such proximity that their tails and fur fuse together over time, forming a mass that has to work together as one. Our message is: work together to accomplish what needs to be done, lift up your fellow rats and be a king in your community, however small it may be. Don’t underestimate the little guy. Take a bite out of crime, and most importantly, smoke em if ya got em."

Fuzzriders took shape in 2017 in craggy, sun-drenched Sardinia, born from an idea by Bonettu and Carrasco. After a few trial runs, they were joined by W***y and Cisko, and together they began writing fast, raw, and punchy tracks, full of fuzzy, heavy sounds. On 01 January 2020, the Cagliari-based group released their self-titled EP, Fuzzriders, marking the beginning of a journey that shows no signs of stopping, with a full-length already in the works, set to take the band to new horizons.

In 2020, after the release of their self-titled EP, Fuzzriders reached out to Electric Valley Records with the intention of starting a collaboration. But, unfortunately, with the world shutting down due to the pandemic, the project was shelved before it could take shape. Now, with their debut album finally ready, Fuzzriders and Electric Valley have reignited the conversation, and this time, it’s become a reality.

Fuzzriders’ debut full-length, I Like It, is a sonic explosion: loud, unruly, and packed with the rhythm of chaos. Each track lands like an unexpected slap, leaving the you breathless and on edge for unexpected. This is an album that doesn’t ask for permission, it rather kicks the door in and crashes through your consciousness without warning, leaving you rattled but craving more. Expect beefy, riff-heavy songs riding alongside a groove-ready low end, stoned-out, intoxicated vocals, and unfiltered garage convulsions.

Emerging from the Netherlands in June 2020, Thammuz was born from the remnants of former bands Dreckneck and Fuzzboar. With a passion for heavy, groove-driven music, the band quickly established itself as a formidable force in the stoner rock and doom scene.

The story of THAMMUZ begins with Dreckneck, a stoner rock & roll outfit formed in 2015. After five years of gigging and recording, the band disbanded, but drummer Tinus, guitarist/vocalist Harm, and guitarist Jip were eager to embark on a new musical journey. The missing piece of the puzzle was found in Jurren, the former bassist of Fuzzboar, who was also seeking a fresh project. With the lineup complete, THAMMUZ was born.

Wasting no time, the band hit the studio just two weeks after their formation. Over a single weekend, they recorded their debut album, Into the Great Unknown, which was released on November 18, 2020. The album received widespread acclaim, landing in second place on the international Doom Charts that month. Their sound—a potent blend of stoner rock, doom, and psychedelic influences, infused with elements of grunge and blues—quickly resonated with fans and critics alike.

Despite their early success, the momentum was halted by a second lockdown, preventing live performances. However, THAMMUZ used this time productively, crafting new material and further refining their sonic identity. After nearly a year and a half, the band was finally able to take the stage and return to the studio.

Their sophomore album, Sons of the Occult, was released in 2022 via Argonauta Records, marking another milestone in their evolving journey. With heavy, hypnotic grooves and a darker, more atmospheric approach, the record solidified THAMMUZ’s status as a rising force in the underground heavy rock scene.

Now, with their signature blend of fuzz-drenched riffs and immersive songwriting, THAMMUZ continues to push boundaries, delivering high-energy performances and forging their path in the world of stoner, doom, and psychedelic rock.

Iron Lung, a stoner punk two-headed beast, delivering abrasive sounds from Toulouse, France. The duo have been laying the riffs since 2022, and despite a calm period in the last year whilst they recruited a drummer. They have managed to record and release a new EP "The path to go forth alone", which has a pretty dark and heavy tone, and some oriental influences in the songs. It represents hard times, but also the sheer joy music can bring in the dark times we see around us right now.

French psychedelic and progressive rock explorers Pelegrin announce the vinyl and CD reissue of their travel-inducing debut full-length "Al-Mahruqa" this May 9th through Californian label Ripple Music.

When PELEGRIN roams the lands of stoner, prog and heavy psych, it is to make a few steps into the unknown. What drives François (guitar/vocals/production), Jason (bass) and Antoine (drums) is the will to fill a tiny space that seemed vacant in the ever-expanding galaxy of distorted music. Though they stand separated by a few hundred kilometers across France, the three friends are united by a confirmed taste for mesmerizing ambiance, melodies soaked with Middle-Eastern influences, rock-solid riffs, and most crucially, unsettling songs that are always on the move. One could try to bring up a few names such as Elder, OM and Colour Haze, but that would not quite cut it.

PELEGRIN charted this new path with its first album “Al-Mahruqa” (2019) and prolonged it with its successor “Ways of Avicenna” (2023). Recorded and produced by the band and mastered in Texas by Kent Stump (Wo Fat) at his Crystal Clear Studios, both albums received praise from international critics. In the fall of 2024, the band inked a worldwide deal with Californian independent label Ripple Music, joining their international roster alongside Yawning Man, The Obsessed, Hermano, Wo Fat and 1000Mods.

The band is set to reissue their first two studio albums this year, followed by the awaited release of their third studio full-length in 2026. They comment: "Six years after the initial self-release, ‘Al-Mahruqa’ still holds a special place in our hearts. It came after a long and sometimes winding creative process over 4 years, involving several line-up changes before we found our perfect balance as a power trio. This album was our first opportunity to be seen and heard by the underground scene. Fans and followers of Pelegrin have often shared their affection for this album, its narrative component and immersive soundscapes. Hurling straight at you from their wholly tongue-impaled cheek comes ...And His Skull Shall Make My B**g, the debut full-length from Southern California's V**e Warlök.

If a b**gwater-soaked battle vest covered in poorly-sewn-on Sleep patches and mildew became sentient and formed a band, it would be V**e Warlök. Comprising members of Unida, Circle of Sighs, and High Priestess, these denizens of the dour doom dumpster aspire to make music that is raw, primitive, and heavier than thou.

That first single alone thoroughly indicates that V**e Warlök slathers their knuckle-dragging stoner-doom in a thick husk of filthy slime that won't wash off no matter how hard you try. It's just plain gross, and that's how they like it.

Paralyzed is a German rock band from Bamberg, Germany formed in the spring of 2019. The group combines bluesy hard rock and stoner rock while intensely exhaling the vibe of the 70s hard rock era, taking its cue from 70s giants such as Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, The Doors, Steppenwolf, Canned Heat. They recorded their first live-in-the-studio EP "Hidden Sun" in September 2019. In October 2020, they released their self-titled album, relying on the energy of live recording and the mighty spirit of the seventies. Their second full-length album “Heavy Road“ ensued in July 2022. Paralyzed is a vintage steamroller: you can't escape from hearing them, and even more so getting under their electric spell!

About their upcoming new album on Ripple Music, the band says: "It is probably our most extensive album to date — raw and wild on the one side and lyrical and dreamy on the other side, with a lot of passion and love for 70s rock music, heavy blues and stoner rock."

Canadian stoner doom trio with three part harmonies, Space Queen is the stoner rock evolution of power trio Jenna Earle (guitar/vocals), Seah Maister (bass/keys/vocals) and Karli MacIntosh (drums/vocals).

Space Queen takes the trio’s signature haunting vocal harmonies and sends them soaring over a cosmic canvas of neo-psychedelic rock. Driving beats from MacIntosh provide an anchor for Earle’s heavy distortion and 70s-style riffs, while Maister keeps everything grounded on fuzzed-out, gnarly bass.
The band released their debut EP in 2020 which garnered a ton of favourable press and college radio play.
Space Queen has steadily increased their following by opening for Meatbodies, King Buffalo, Blackwater Holylight, Dopethrone, Cancer Bats, Hippie Death Cult, Mondo Drag, The Well, Acid Mother's Temple, RIP, Spirit Mother, Spoon Benders, Hastronaut, Mos Generator and Black Mastiff.

Causa Sui returns with the perfect companion to last year's tour de force, ”From The Source”. Whereas that record was a tightly structured piece of work, that condensed many aspects of the band's sound into a concise 45 minute LP, ”In Flux” presents the more loose and impulsive side of Causa Sui.
After an introductory suite in classic Causa Sui territory, with deep fuzz riffs and syncopated grooves, things gradually become more outlandish. The following three vinyl sides see the band channeling Hot Rats-style jazz fusion, the oceanic post-rock of late-period Talk Talk, and the impulsive, anarchic experimentalism of Can's ”Tago Mago” into their own beatific brew. On “Spree”, the band abandons guitar entirely, relying on a dual synthesizer on top of drums and bass instead, yet maintains that uniquely Sui-an vibe.

The centerpiece in this set, ”Astral Shores”, unfolds over 16 minutes – from gently hypnotic, ritualistic folk, through motoric psychedelia and back again. It's been many years since Causa Sui have sounded this unmoored on a studio record. ”In Flux” is an essential chapter in the band's ever-changing oeuvre.

The double 10” format might seem like an odd choice, but splitting the album into four short, distinctive parts makes perfect sense stylistically. Each side has a character all off its own, taking the listener somewhere different.
