Some production stills, images, and posters from our upcoming movie WAITING FOR SUMMER (working title only), which is inspired by my love of action and suspense movies from my childhood.

A dystopian future fable of a navy seal, a royal air force pilot, and the daughters of two military commanders, who get involved in a test of wits at a national park sans nature reserve. Set on a man-made island called Neo Frankfurt.

It has many action scenes and also has fairy tale elements from RED RIDING HOOD, SLEEPING BEAUTY, and HANSEL and GRETAL.

I aim to make this as thrilling and fun as possible.

"Sarbat da Bhala"

Translation: "O Nanak, with the Naam (the Name of God) in your heart, wish well for everyone."

This line embodies the Sikh principle of "Sarbat da Bhala," which means the welfare of all. It encourages us to stay positive, show kindness, and maintain an attitude of gratitude by wishing good for everyone, without discrimination.

Another verse that resonates with the themes of positivity and gratitude is:

"Dhan Dhan Ram Das Gur, Jin Siriaa Tinai Savaariaa"
Translation:
"Blessed, blessed is Guru Ram Das; He who created You, has also exalted You."

This verse reflects deep gratitude and respect towards the Guru and acknowledges the divine presence and grace that uplift and guide us. It is a reminder to stay positive and grateful for the spiritual guidance we receive.

This is the 2nd poster for Waiting for Summer inspired by movies from Golan Globus, Canon films, and Joel Silver who made some classics in the 80s and 90s like LETHAL WEAPON, AMERICAN NINJA and DIE HARD.

Filming on WAITING FOR SUMMER is continuing and we are about 55% completed.

The costumes of the two characters Abraham and are heavily inspired by some of my favourite iconic characters.

for example borrows from Eliot in E.T. The Extra Terrestrial and Little Red Riding Hood. I wanted an updated modern design of the costume with little stars on her jeans.

The book prop that she is holding was designed by Jess Skidmore of JHS Props, it was originally supposed to be just a small book, but Jess improvised on the design and made it almost as big as which has now also given us many story improvisations and ideas to use it in different ways in the movie.

Abraham is inspired by Cary Grant in North by North-West and Harrison Ford in Frantic, as well as some character tones of Rex Harrison. He is a hero who loves the Summer season deeply.

This is the second official poster for WAITING FOR SUMMER, the 1st poster was created using photos taken with the SONY A7IV camera, this 2nd poster has been created using photos taken from the LUMIX GH6 and SIGMA fp cameras.

Unlike the 1st poster, this one is actually a location in the movie, we quickly got the actors to pose during the last filming session for this one.

We were filming the RAHANA car-crash scene, where the wolf attacks ‘the passenger’ with Navdeep Monga and Shaid Parvaz… We wondered through the forest and came to this beautiful restaurant bar overlooking a lake. I had been here many times before in my teenage years, however it was different now, more enhanced, improved, redecorated. So we stopped here and had a non-carnivorous lunch ⛩

CODEY came about from wanting to do something during LOCKDOWN while waiting to go out filming on RAHANA. It's a perfect choice for actors in lockdown who want to play characters in a drama that features lots of locations and drama, a large scale story we could work on as a team without having to leave the house. And is as epic as the big movies I love.

CODEY: EPISODE 1: THE ROAD . A futuristic thriller and romance adventure about an infection that runs riot across the country and one man's mission to rescue his girlfriend amidst a lock-down around the year 2040. It’s set in the same universe as CODENAME VASQUEZ, THE SENSEI and RAHANA.
