What a week it’s been… 💭
I should probably start at the beginning, right? 🙈
You may have noticed I’ve been a little quieter on social media lately. Truth is, my health—both physical and mental—has been taking centre stage.
Creating content, replying to messages, even leaving comments… it’s all felt like too much at times.
Some might say it’s best to step away for a bit, and I hear them. But honestly, being here with all of you brings me so much joy.
So, I’m learning to listen to myself more. There will be days I’m here and days I’m not—and that’s OK. ❤️
Now, about my week…
Last weekend, I returned from Dunster, where I had the absolute pleasure of helping @yarn_market_hotel with their social media. Their family- and community-centred values align so closely with mine, and it’s a joy working with them.
This week has been a mix of busy and beautiful:
🌿 I met a dear friend and enjoyed a lovely vegan meal at @damascena_uk in Birmingham. Their food feels like a healthier option, and I’ll definitely be back.
💼 I had some exciting business meetings for future projects—more on that soon! 👀
🌸 On Wednesday, I travelled to Peterborough as a volunteer for the final part of @madeforlifeorganics training at @bannatynepeterborough.
Touch Therapy, designed for cancer patients, is truly transformative. It supports both physical and mental well-being, and I couldn’t recommend it enough. I’ll definitely be booking more appointments.
For me, traditional medicine is essential, but it’s only part of the story. Healing needs to encompass the whole self—body, mind, and soul.
Here’s to balance, listening to ourselves, and finding joy in the little things.

Top Things to Do at Attingham Park! 🌳
You all know how much I adore visiting National Trust properties, and today I returned to the beautiful Attingham Park. Here’s how I spent my day—and why you should too!
1️⃣ Wandered Through the Peaceful Woodlands
Took a leisurely stroll amidst the tranquil trees—absolutely perfect for unwinding. The rustling leaves and birdsong made it pure bliss!
2️⃣ Met the Friendly Deer
Skipped the house tour this time, but made sure to greet the deer roaming freely in the park. They were so charming and added a magical touch to the day.
3️⃣ Enjoyed a Scone and Coffee at the Café ☕️🍰
Wrapped up my adventure with a delicious scone and a steaming cup of coffee. Is there a better way to end a day out? I think not!
Whether you’re into historic mansions, nature trails, or just fancy a tasty treat, Attingham Park has something special for everyone. If you haven’t visited yet, it’s definitely worth the trip!

Have you ever been to Somerset?
I’m seriously considering leaving the West Midlands 🙈 and making Somerset my new home.
I’m absolutely in love with the area and the incredible people I’ve met there.
I’ve explored several villages, met so many friendly locals, and I can’t thank them enough for welcoming me into their community.
From Porlock Weir to Bridgwater, this region already feels like my second home.
I’m tagging a few people and places here that you must check out if you’re ever in the area.
Start by visiting @porlockinformationcentre , where Debbie and her fantastic team will give you all the info you need about Somerset & Exmoor.
While you’re in Porlock, pop into @exmoortweed for unique finds, and enjoy a cosy stay at @official_top_ship .
Treat yourself to a night at @yarn_market_hotel , where the team makes you feel right at home.
For a bit of shopping, head to @homecomingexmoor —they’ve got incredible products, and I’ve just picked up a gorgeous lamp from them. 🙏🌟
If you’re up for some history (and delicious scones 😁👀), don’t miss @dunstercastlent .
And if you’re craving something sweet, swing by @thechocolatehouseindunster .
Don’t forget to support local producers—@bumbles jams are absolutely divine!
There are so many more people and places I could mention, but sometimes I feel like I never share enough about this beautiful area. ❤️❤️❤️

Every month on the 11th, I pause and reflect.
It’s a day that fills my heart with gratitude, a day that reminds me how precious life is.
This day, for me, is like a second birthday—a celebration of being alive.
But today, the 11th of October, feels even more special. It’s been 15 months since my abdominal surgery when they removed a cancerous tumor—a journey that has been anything but easy. For those of you who have had surgery, you know how challenging the complications can be.
This month holds a deeper significance as October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a time when thousands of women are fighting not only cancer but for better treatments and a cure. We are living in a cancer pandemic, and the statistics are truly overwhelming.
But today, I want to remind you to celebrate every moment. When we are healthy, when we are surrounded by family, it is a gift.
Since my diagnosis, I’ve found strength in myself that I never knew I had. I’ve made new friends, I’ve changed my life, and I’ve become more present in every moment. Every day, I make room for gratitude.
Today, I celebrated life in the best way I know how—by staying active, going for a gentle walk, doing some work, cooking, even cleaning (🙈🙈🙈)—and tonight, I’ll raise a glass to myself, and to life. ❤️
To all of you fighting battles, stay strong. 💓💓💓

The trails are endless, with towering trees, vibrant heather, and views that make you forget the hustle of daily life. Use @alltrails for inspiration.
End the day with a cozy village pub, where the locals are friendly, and the food is hearty.

Have you ever wandered into a place so charming it feels like stepping into a storybook?
That’s exactly how I felt exploring the enchanting villages of Rutland. 🌿
In Cottesmore, I strolled through picturesque streets where every cottage seemed to whisper tales of the past. Exton captivated me with its timeless beauty and historic architecture—it’s like time stood still just for us to savor the moment. And then there’s Empingham, nestled near the serene waters of Rutland Water, offering breathtaking views that made me fall head over heels.
I’m absolutely smitten with this corner of England. There are so many lovely places to discover here, and these three villages are just the beginning of an unforgettable journey. ❤️

Happy Wednesday, everyone! ❤️
So, I had a chat with my coffee this morning, and we both agreed—social media can be a real head-scratcher! 😂 Seems like many of us are feeling the same way lately.
But hey, it is what it is, right? 😊🤷♀️
I’m noodling on how to bring more value to you all.
**Today’s video** is a fun mashup of clips from various villages—consider it a mini world tour! 🌍✨
If you’ve noticed I’ve been a bit MIA on the travel front, it’s because I’ve been under the weather. I had my routine scan (the every-six-months kind), and they told me today that “at first glance, there’s nothing concerning.” 🎉 They’ll still have me in an MDT meeting since these pesky pains aren’t normal.
But for now, I’m focusing on the positive news! 🙏
Anyway, back to the video! 🙈
Am I rambling? Probably! But who doesn’t love a good ramble now and then?
I really need to get back out there, roam the countryside, gather more content, and meet new people! ❤️🙏
If you’re up for a meetup, let me know! ❤️😊❤️
Still need to catch up with **@karen.messenger**! ❤️
Oh, and before I wrap up this little ramble—have you seen my latest news about the event I’m organizing with Yarn Market Hotel in Dunster next year?
If not, pop over to my story and check out the link to the post! ❤️❤️❤️
**See you soon!** 🤍😁👋

The Cotswolds’ Hidden Struggle: Are We Loving These Villages to Death?
These four stunning villages—Castle Combe, Bourton on the Water, Bibury, and Broadway—are the jewels of the Cotswolds.
But what happens when our love for their beauty turns into a burden?
On a sunny Saturday or any day in summer, these picturesque spots become almost unbearable, packed with tourists chasing the perfect shot.
We need to ask ourselves: Are we contributing to the destruction of what we adore?
Places like the Vatican, Barcelona, and Florence have already felt the pressure of mass tourism, forcing them to implement strict policies.
The Cotswolds might not be far behind if we don’t start being more mindful.
I will always encourage you to visit villages, but I also want you to be considerate and think about these aspects.
I have seen dozens of posts lately with these villages, and lots of people saying the same thing: “was too busy, it is like London but in a village”.
It is sad to find out about these things. Because I know their beauty is all year round.
Let’s change our approach. Visit during quieter times, respect the serenity, and enjoy these gems with care. The beauty of the countryside is fragile—let’s not be the ones to break it.
What are your thoughts? Is it time for limits, or is this just the price of popularity?

The countryside isn’t just a place—it’s a state of mind. Here are 3 reasons why spending more time in the countryside can transform your life:
1. Reconnect with Nature: In our fast-paced world, we often lose touch with the natural rhythms that sustain us. The countryside offers a sanctuary where you can reconnect with the earth, breathe deeply, and let go of the stresses of modern life.
2. Nourish Your Mind: The tranquility of the countryside fosters mental well-being. With fewer distractions and more time to reflect, you’ll find your mind clearing, allowing you to focus on what truly matters.
3. Rediscover Simplicity: Life in the countryside reminds us that happiness is found in simplicity. The quiet beauty of a sunrise, the joy of growing your own food, and the warmth of a close-knit community are all treasures waiting to be rediscovered.
Save this post as a reminder to seek out the peace that only the countryside can offer. Whether you’re in the Cotswolds or any village, the benefits are universal. 🌿
