✨ Day of Ashura ✨ O Merciful One in the world and the hereafter, and compassionate in both abodes; convey blessings upon our Master Muhammad, and upon the Family of our Master Muhammad, and send blessing upon all the Prophets and Messengers, fulfil our needs in the world and the hereafter, make long our lives in Your obedience, love and pleasure. Make our life a life of goodness, and grant us death upon faith and Islam by Your mercy, O Most Merciful. O Allah, by the honour of Hasan and his brother, his mother and his father, his grandfather ‎ﷺ and his children, relieve us of our affliction." (Excerpt from the supplication of Imam Zain ul-Abidin, (alayhi salaam) the son of Iman al Husayn (alayhi salaam), which is recited on the day of Ashura).

✨ Dala’il al-Khayrat ✨ It has been related that Imam al-Jazuli rahimahu Allah was inspired to compose the Dala’il al-Khayrat when he encountered a young girl who attained her spiritual rank by invoking salutations upon the Prophet ﷺ. One day, Imam al-Jazuli rahimahu Allah went to a nearby well to perform his ablution. He could not find any means to draw the water from the well. While he was in this state of perplexity, a young girl was watching him from above. She yelled, “You’re the one whom people praise so much, yet you are unable to figure out how to draw water from the well!” Then she came down and spat into the water, until it rose up and overflowed onto the ground. Imam al-Jazuli rahimahu Allah performed his ablution then asked her, “How did you attain this rank?” She replied, “By conveying blessings upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ The salutation below is the one that was recited by the girl, may it bring special openings of healing and ease to those who recite it. O Allah, bless Sayyidina Muhammad ‎ﷺ, the light of lights, the mystery of mysteries, the master of the pious, the adornment of the best messengers, the noblest of whomever the night has cloaked and the day has bathed in light. [Bless him] in quantity as great as the drops of rain which descend from the beginning of this world to its end. [Bless him] in quantity as great as the plants and trees which grow from the beginning of this world to its end, with a blessing that is constant, lasting as long as the Kingdom of Allah, the One, the Victorious.” (Part 4:10)
