We celebrate winner Jamelia, the founder of , a groundbreaking Black hair care brand that’s transforming the industry. Inspired by her experiences abroad, Jamelia saw a gap in the UK market and worked tirelessly to create products tailored to the needs of the Black community.

But her impact goes beyond the products. She’s improving in-store experiences and mentoring young people, ensuring Black customers feel seen and understood. Jamelia’s commitment, vision, and humility have made her a true trailblazer.

Winner Charlene Gravesande is a trailblazer in sports media, breaking barriers and making her voice heard. She’s a fierce advocate for elevating Black talent in the industry.

After the tragic murder of George Floyd, Charlene took bold action. She produced a powerful film lasting 9 minutes and 29 seconds—the exact length of time Derek Chauvin’s knee was on George’s neck. Unafraid to challenge the status quo, Charlene continues to champion equity and justice from her position of strength.

Her courage and unwavering dedication make her a truly deserving of the Marketing, Media & Creative Black Talent Award.

We are lost for words after last night!

Seeing our 2024 theme ‘Soaring Higher’ come alive at last night’s awards was unbelievable.

There’s nothing quite like encouraging and celebrating each other.

Huge congratulations to all of our winners and finalists - and to all our attendees for prioritising such a powerful mission with us.

The work continues, but having kicked off Black History Month with such a powerful evening of uplifting talent, we are hopeful for the future.

Many more reflections to follow but for now, thank you all - for sharing the night with us and being part of the movement.
