This isn’t about knocking the platforms or making you feel deflated.
It’s about being realistic so you can make smart choices with your time and energy.

Because yes, social media can help you grow. But it’s just one piece of the puzzle. 🙂

The underdogs have a special place in my heart. 💛

The bull breeds. The banned breeds. The dogs we’re told not to show in marketing – not because they’re misunderstood, but because of real, medical and ethical concerns around how we’ve bred them. (They didn’t ask for that.)

The rescues. The greyhounds. The ones who carry baggage that was never theirs to hold.

Thank you for loving your dog – just as they are.

Most people think showing up on social media is just about keeping the algorithm happy (it is a tiny bit and I'll go into that another time)… but what if it’s actually about being a good host?

When someone follows you, it’s like they’ve popped round for a cuppa and a chat.

They’ve said, “I like what you’re about.”

So when you vanish without a trace, it can feel a bit awkward.

Consistency isn’t about posting every day. It’s about your rhythm.

Whether that’s 2 posts a week, 5, or mostly stories with the odd check-in... what matters is being mindful about how you show up.
..and hey..... life will be life-ing sometimes.

When that happens (and it will), your reach might dip a bit… but don’t deep it. That’s just the nature of these platforms.

Keep the kettle warm (or your snack cupboard stocked). Keep showing up in a way that feels good to you.
