Encore NI is a non profitable organisation, created by Taylor Johnson in early 2013 in an attempt to aid the progression of unsigned local artists and bands. The website seeks to give these musicians the platform from which to grow through album, EP and live gig reviews. Encore NI also works to promote local festivals and larger scale shows, writing regular reports on the likes of the late Glasgow
bury, Ulster Hall & Odyssey based gigs. To date, we have had articles published in the Belfast Telegraph, NME magazine & various others. ~ Taylor is also a regular contributor to the BBC's 'Across The Line' and has worked for BBC Radio 4, BBC Radio Foyle and Blast 106 amongst others. In April 2014, Encore was approached by the famous Pavilion Bar, Belfast & asked to host a brand new local gig night. This saw the creation of Modern Life Is Rubbish, a gig night of growing popularity in the city. Through 'Modern Life...' Encore has hosted shows for the likes of Echo Raptors, In An Instant, The Late Twos and various others. Taylor is also co-running Spectrum Festival 2015 and co-runs Volume Control Records, an independent record label based in Belfast.
