Premier Artists Acting agency based in Belfast NI Premier Artists is a leading UK and Ireland acting agency which is based in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

It was established in 2012 by Ed McCann, who had previously worked for many years within the industry as an actor, and represents a select client base of actors and actresses. Having recognised the amount of talent which existed in Northern Ireland, and the lack of representation available, he chose to establish Premier Artists. Submissions for the Scene + Heard Festival are open until midnight on 30th September with the Festival itself taking place from 13 Feb - 1 March 2025 in Smock Alley Theatre. As Festival organisers describe:

Our call out is simple: we ask ARTISTS from all over the country for their most outrageous, imaginative, enthusiastic, multi-genre, awe-inspiring, tear-inducing, laughter-medicinal, audience-wowing ideas to tantalise our tastebuds and catapult your brain waves on to our stages. The main idea – this must be new work, never before seen it's first outing onto a stage, in front of an audience. We programme all genres and types of presentations - music, dance, comedy, theatre, improv, spoken word, drag, circus, aerial or all the above in a symphonic smorgasbord. If these past months (years? – what is time?) have shown us anything, it is that the depths of imagination in our industry is unending and indefatigable, so come witness those fires kept lit and get those lightbulbs flashing.

We are very excited to announce that Borderline, featuring Premier Artists Adam Murphy and Sheena Kelly, is now available on theroukchannel and mgmplusuk.

When both are forced to work together to solve a serious crime, Detective Inspector Philip Boyd of the PSNI - straitlaced, teetotal, reactionary Presbyterian -finds himself working alongside his Garda counterpart, Detective Inspector Aoife Regan -foul-mouthed, unapologetically gay, and unwillingly seconded to what she calls 'the boglands'. They rarely agree on anything and get off to a rocky start, but, whether they like it or not, they have crimes to solve - and unexpectedly begin to form a formidable crime-fighting duo.

Congratulations to Colin Carnegie whose short, "Three Keenings," has been selected for the Orizzonti Short Films International Competition of the 81st Venice International Film Festival (28 August - 7 September 2024) of La Biennale di Venezia. "Three Keenings," directed by Oliver McGoldrick, also stars Seamus O’Hara, Sean Kearns, Carol Moore, Caitriona Hinds, and Niall Cusack.

The 13 short films will compete for the Orizzonti Award for Best Short Film, to be assigned by the Jury of the Orizzonti section.
