🚨NEW RELEASE🚨

Excited to be working on this release from Heartbreak has been the catalyst for some of the best songs ever written. The emotional turmoil expressed through a mix of chords and melody that somehow help make sense of the apocalypse within the heart. It’s this emotional blood letting we find on the debut single from Madrai ‘Leaving on My Own’. Frontman Callum lays himself bare across the four and a half minutes run time. The honesty and vulnerability expressed is both frightening and cathartic while allowing the listener to connect instantly to track. All draped over a laid-back melancholy indie rock track with flourishes of Frusciante that underpin the still stinging wound.

‘nothing hurt and everything was beautiful’ is out now!

Our album is out today! It’s actually a little too much to know what to say. It’s the culmination of what essentially equates to two years of work in writing, playing shows, recording, making videos and creating art. We are all intensely proud of the music and are so excited to share it all with you.

It’s an album about love, s*x, death, loss, time, accepting the pain and beauty in the world and finding those things within each other.

We made the album with Jonny Woods - Producer/Mix Engineer/Musician in during the summer of 2023. Jonny has been involved since the very beginning of the band, his contribution to the record in capturing our sound and in times pushing us into further gazy territory is massive. His ear in mixing and producing is invaluable. We can’t thank him enough.

Moosetronix Mastering mastered the album in a way that only Jon can, a master of the dark that is mastering! Countless thanks.

We want to extend special thanks to Ebony Alexander Media who got roped into this by coming on tour with us and hasn’t been allowed to leave since. Unbelievable photographer, videographer and a true friend to the band. We’d never look cool without her.

Thanks to Blowtorch Records for genuinely believing in what we’re doing and backing us. Richard is a true fan of music and one of the few doing it for all the right reasons. A million thanks.

We went into the studio in March '23 "to see if we could come up with anything" and from day 1 it felt like a proper band, so it feels really good to have an album out in March '24 and ready to hit the road around the UK and Ireland (and hopefully beyond very soon!).

The Oh Yeah Music Centre (my 2nd home) has been shortlisted for Music Week’s Grassroots Venue: Spirit of The Scene Award, which is a public vote (this means all you nice people 🫵🏻).

It’s way more than just a venue where I get to mix loads of shows and events. It’s about the Elevate Open Mic, Volume Control, Arts & Older People projects, Scratch My Progress, Sound of Belfast, Acoustic Picnic, the many other projects it hosts for all ages and all the music & media orientated businesses which reside within it’s walls.

PiNKSLiPS,
Following up from their debut release ‘Youngblood’, which earned them accolades including Sirus XM’s Single of the Week and knighted as ‘Ones to Watch in 2024’ by the Belfast Telegraph. PiNKSLiPS live up to that honour as they return for round two with their new, superbly named second single ‘Ambidextrous’. An anthemic monolith primed to be the soundtrack to many sweaty club shows, with bodies clambering over each other or to a few thousand fists in the air in affirmation as a stadium sings the words back in unison.

4 buzzin boys just wanna say a big THANK YOU for following us on our journey so far. Today marks the beginning but it’s been a long road and one we thought we’d never finish many, many times. We are absolutely thrilled to announce that we will be self releasing our debut single Young Blood on Dec 1st.

It was recorded at The Badlands - Studio with rock monster Allan McGreevy - guitar player with the wonderful New Pagans and the result has us super excited to share it with you. Jon Moorehead at Moosetronix Mastering nailed the master too.
IT'S SO GOOD!

It's been a crazy road for us boys, we'll explain in time, but there were many times when we thought this would never happen for us, so it's a huge deal.

We're totally and utterly (and proudly) independent, so we're gonna rely on you guys to spread the word for us and get on board, for what will hopefully be a wild ride over the next few years.

Very excited to announce the next single to be taken from the album is out NEXT FRIDAY Oct 20th.

‘Do Better’ featuring Clodagh May on vocals! Watching Clodagh build the vocal tracks for this in studio was amazing and really transformed the track from this weird little punk rock song into something anthemic with a really important message behind it.
