Congratulations to Beann Mhádagháin FC 2nds who won the West Wellbeing Premier Cup Reserve Section.

They defeated Clonard in their last game to give them maximum points across their 4 matches.

⚽ WEST WELLBEING CUP ⚽

Captains from FORD FC 2nds and Realta Na Cromoige 2nds before their Friday night game. The game finished 3-3 and Ford picked up a bonus point with the shootout win.

In the other game in the reserve section Beann Mhádagháin FC 2nds put one hand on the trophy with a 4-1 win over Greencastle. If they avoid defeat this coming week against Clonard they will be champs but a win for the lower falls men gives them a chance with one game remaining.

The Junior Section finishes this week with three games and it is really open with three teams still in with a chance of lifting the trophy.

⚽WEST WELLBEING CUP⚽

A weekly round up of the West Wellbeing Premier Cup.

It was goals galore in the three Junior Section games as Immaculata Football Club 2nds and Belfast Athletic Football Club played out an entertaining 3-3 draw on Tuesday. The Mac picking up a bonus point with a penalty shootout win.

On Saturday FORD FC and Glendowan Football Club shared the spoils in a 3-3 draw with Ford winning the bonus point on pens.

Then it was down to Clonard Football Club and Belfast Athletic to go one better than the above teams with 8 goals shared in a 4-4 draw. Unfortunately no pens in this game 😬.

On Thurs evening Beann Mhádagháin FC 2nds 7-1 win over Realta Na Cromoige keeps them unbeaten.

Then on Saturday it was Greencastle Rovers FC (Official) back to winning ways with a 4-1 victory over Ford 2nds.

Only the two games this week as firstly Immaculata Football Club 2nds and Glendowan Football Club played out an entertaining 1-1 draw on Tues night. The Mac won the subsequent penalty shootout to pick up a bonus point.

In the reserve section Clonard Football Club defeated Greencastle Rovers FC (Official) 3-1 at Brook.

The games will be ramping up this week with multiple fixtures across both sections.

⚽ West Wellbeing Premier Cup ⚽

A round up of this week's results in the West Wellbeing Premier Cup.

Firstly in the Junior Section FORD FC came away with two wins after defeating Sandy Row Football Club 5-2 on Tuesday evening and Clonard Football Club 2-1 in yesterday's game.

In the Reserves Section Greencastle Rovers FC (Official) 2nds defeated Realta Na Cromoige 2nds 3-1 on Friday evening and Beann Mhádagháin FC 2nds defeated Ford 2nds 4-2.

Unfortunately a Clonard player Stevo McIlwane suffered a bad injury in yesterday's game. Wishing Stevo a speedy recovery.

A game in each section today in the West Wellbeing Cup as Immaculata 2nds defeated Clonard 3-2 in a local derby. Clonard still top on goal difference though after defeating Glendowan 5-2 last weekend.

The reserves section kicked off with Ford 2nds winning 4-1 against Clonard 2nds.

This year's Premier Cup Junior Section will consist of 5 teams playing eachother once in a league format.

The 5 teams partaking are;

Clonard Football Club
FORD FC
Immaculata Football Club 2nds
Sandy Row Football Club
Glendowan Football Club

Games will start mid July and be played over a 4 week period with the overall winners lifting the 2nd annual West Wellbeing Premier Cup

We will have a Junior Comp running from mid July to August and a Reserve Comp running from end of July into mid august. Each team will be guaranteed of three group games and we will then have a semi final and final.

Once teams confirmed and draw is made teams can arrange fixtures for dates that suit both parties.

The aim for this is promote and fundraise for the charity as well as give competitive fixtures in pre season for teams involved.
