Working on the mix for a new The Headless Way track today.

The new mixer has a neat trick where it can switch to controlling the channel volume in Logic. Super handy for balancing guitars that have multiple mics! Certainly can't do that with a mouse!

A busy week.

Glen Goring came in a couple of times to work on his album. He prefers to work about 3 hours at a time and start late morning.

This is quite convenient as it gives me a 2 hour slot to work on my commissioned writing before his session!

And Samantha came in to record a voiceover for 'Naked Bars'. A really interesting session where I got to witness an advertising agency direct the recording on a Zoom meeting.

I've been working with Glenn Goring again today.

This time we tracked picked acoustic guitar with Logic's automatic tempo tracker. This function will produce a tempo map of a live recording allowing us to add synchronized rhythm parts to a recording made without a click track or drum part!

A great sesion! Masie's song had a vintage Soul feel, so we experimented with different types of saturation and dirty plate reverbs to capture the correct vibe.

George and Marcus (The Headless Way) finally return for a weekend of guitar tracking and vocals.

A super buzzing couple of days!

Really, really happy with the guitar set up through the Marshall stack.

We got some massive sounds by stacking the Big M**f with the Fuzz Wah!

And George was on top form with his vocal expression.
