📉 Despite a 24.4% revenue increase to £6.9bn and a record 170,000 new customers in 2024, Motability Operations reported a £565m pre-tax loss, a significant downturn from the £748m profit in 2023.

Key points:

- £750 New Vehicle Payment (NVP): Increased from £78.9m in 2023 to £152.6m in 2024, offering a one-off payment to new and renewing customers.

- EV Investment: Expanded to £57.7m, supporting 98,000 customers with subsidies and 66,000 complimentary home wallbox chargers.

- Vehicle Residual Value Changes: Gains from end-of-lease disposals dropped to £8.9m from £420.4m in 2023, due to huge fluctuations in used car values.

- Inflationary Impacts: Significant rise in insurance costs affected overall profitability.

- No donations were given to the Motability Foundation in 2024. In 2023, £250m was donated.
