We provide affordable, professional quality recording services to bands, singer/songwriters and solo artists, who want to record their music in a calm and intimate setting. Last weekend, we welcomed local band into the studio for the first time. What fun we had!

Been working on mixes for the band all this week. The tune absolutely rocks, so I hope I’ve done it justice.

Had an amazing couple of days in the Studio. Got commissioned to write a late 90’s inspired trance anthem.

The nostalgia of thumping, roaring 136bpm trance takes me alllllll the way back to the heady days of 1999-2003 - peak years of my dj’ing days. Lumping record cases up flight after flight of stairs at various clubs around Scotland - a good calorie burner 🥴

Broke out the big boys for this one. Oberheim OBXa, Yamaha CS80, Roland Jupiter 4, Roland Jupiter 8, Roland JD800 (I needed a clangy bell tone), and there’s at least 4 TR 909’s running.

And if could take care of a JP-8000 sometime soon, that would be kinda wicked.

It’s only been out a couple of weeks, but the debut EP from , titled “Country As…” refreshes the parts that other country artists just can’t reach.

The songwriting, a strong point since their first single two years ago, is absolutely next level, and features jaw-dropping slide/lap steel guitar from American session pro John LeMaster.

It’s a joy to work with this power pair, and I’ll be helping them prepare for their inevitable transition to them playing live shows in the not too distant future.

Werra Foxma is back on the socials after an extended, but well needed break!

It’s been a busy few months as usual in the studio, as well as multiple gigs with - Definitely Oasis - Oasis Tribute Band and a second tour of Ireland with 🍋

We have been fortunate to have had so many bands and solo artists, new and familiar, recording albums, EP’s and singles over the spring and summer. Thank you to everyone who have been in the studio over the last 6 months. 🙏🏻

We have some capacity for sessions over the next 3 months, with September nearly full, and October filling up already.

After two years of covid-induced limbo, I am thrilled to announce that I have given up the day job in order to run Werra Foxma on a full time basis. The objective has not changed. We aim to provide professional recording facilities to the bands, vocalists, and singer-songwriters of West Lothian and beyond. If you, or anyone you know, is looking to record some tunes professionally recorded, please consider Werra Foxma. We would love to hear from you! I am here to make a living, and not a fortune. Our Story

A short history of Werra Foxma

Werra Foxma Studio began in 2015, purely so that we had a workspace to record our own music and projects for our music-minded friends. Work was completed in 2016 and we moved all our instruments and equipment in there.

In 2017, we quietly opened the studio open to the public on a less than part-time basis. We gave free sessions away to friends and got a few artists on board, which helped gain experience, and we slowly gained confidence and upgraded my equipment as we went.

Everything changed in the summer of 2018, as the diary incredibly started filling up. By September of 2018, we were forced to close the diary as we were fully booked out. This was the period that made me wonder if we could the studio a full time thing.
