DJ Obediah and his wife, Isabella, are doing a thing for Black History Month 🎉 they love learning about history and want to share it with you! Our friends in and around the London area are invited to:
🗓️ Hidden Histories of Black Brilliance on Friday 1st November from 18.00 to 22.00 at London South Bank University. Link to register👇🏾
On this night, you will be treated to:
📚 A one hour session on Hidden Histories delivered by Obediah and his wife. They’ll take you on a journey that will introduce you to inventors and innovators, ancient civilisations, pioneering leaders and royalty.
📣 A one hour discussion with 4 inspirational trailblazers, Courtney Daniella Boateng, Renée Kapuku Ed.M - Founders of To My Sisters - Dr Nike Folayan MBE (PhD, CEng., FIET) and Ollie Folayan MBE (PhD CEng FIChemE) - Founders of AFBE. They have respectively created beautiful burgeoning communities of Black brilliance and ethnically diverse talent. We’ll be conversing on why knowledge of real history can help to unpick biases and create better, fairer and more inclusive futures.

🎶 Two hours of mellow music that teaches Black history through the lyrics, courtesy of DJ Beanie Don and his extensive record collection.
🍽️ A delicious spread of African and Caribbean food to tantalise your tastebuds.
🤩 Stands showcasing books on Black history, Black owned-businesses and Black history timelines.
