The The Roseate Villa Bath are launching a new evening menu open to both residents and non-residents, and I was lucky enough to be invited to try the new menu last night.
Championing English ingredients the menu did not disappoint in both quality and presentation.
It was difficult to choose what to eat as everything on the menu was so tempting. I opted for Home Cured Salmon to start, followed by the freshest pan fried Lemon Sole (the caper and lemon butter sauce was divine) and the classic Eton Mess for dessert. I had total food envy for my fellow diners dishes too as everything was so beautifully presented and they confirmed tasted delicious.
Each course was paired with a choice of red or white wines, and a perfect orange wine with the dessert.
The hotel sits in a quiet corner of the city just moments from the iconic Pulteney Bridge, a perfect base if you are visiting, and close to town if you are local.
If you are looking for somewhere to impress either for a cosy date night, or a meal with family and friends then I would definitely recommend the Roseate Villa.
