Finding Gaffney Productions

Finding Gaffney Productions Finding Gaffney is a production company based in Bath, Somerset. We strive to create productions that connects people on many different plains.

It is a company that collaborates with Actor/Musicians and is interested in combining live music with stories that explore the depths of the human condition. We believe that art has a profound way of connecting us together. It can even connect us with those that are no longer with us in the physical form. Creative Director, Benjamin, has spent his life exploring his relationships with his Grandpar

ents who passed away before he could get to know them properly. Through his creative exploration, he was able to feel connected with them and feel their influence, similar to how people feel connected with their guardian angels. Having worked with various companies, Benjamin wanted to set up us his own company so that he could finally pursue his own performing passions. He is keen to collaborate and connect with fellow artists and ensure that fairness and safety are the top priority. This is where Finding Gaffney was born. Finding Gaffney wants to create a safe space for artists to explore this type of connection and feed it into our story telling so that we can spread the connection with our audiences. We intend for our productions to make an impression on our audience so that they leave entertained and effected by the work.

⏰ This time last year during The Bath Festival, our founder and creative director Benjamin Hardy-Phillips took inspiration and was extremely moved by an event: ‘Manni and Reuben Coe talk to Sally Phillips’.

🗣️ This in-conversation style event hosted by Sally Phillips centred around the Sunday Times Bestselling memoir by Manni and Reuben Coe called ‘Brother. Do. You. Love. Me’, and discussed how, individually and collectively, we can all take better care of each other.

📚 The memoir tells a story of how Reuben - a person living with Down syndrome - was isolated and alone living in an adult care home and how after receiving a desperate text from his brother, Manni knew everything about their situation had to change.

🙏🏻 Thank you for sharing your story with the world that resonates with so many families and has contributed to inspiring Ben’s creative process.
