I've been struggling with inspiration lately, so making has been a better way for me to switch off. I need to carve out time in my week to be creative to look after my mental well-being, but my creativity looks different from one week to the next. Sometimes, I don't have the capacity to draw or paint, I don't have the energy or mental capacity to think at all. During these times, the act of making is really helpful. I love mixing up styles, mediums, and techniques as that works for me and my brain.

I'm not sure what this piece is or where it came from, but I'm grateful I was able to put pen to paper for the first time in ages!

I'm not feeling particularly christmassy this year, so I've been taking comfort in being at home with my boys and my cats! So here is another cat pic (sorry, not sorry!) 😉

It's completely ok if you're not feeling super sparkly this time of year, it can be a difficult time for many. Go easy on yourself and make sure you take this time for you, do the things that YOU enjoy. There is so much pressure to try and keep up with traditions, other people, all the things you 'should be' doing but actually it becomes so much more enjoyable when we just let go of all the parts that no longer bring us joy! Be kind to yourself 💛

You can find your sparkle, it may just look a little different, and that is completely OK ✨️ Sending you love this Christmas 💚
