Took a flight of fancy with this one, chiefly because it's for me 🙂. Conceived as a free standing bookshelf in Ash with details of Iroko and rosewood. Should work well .

The grain pattern and colour of the old pieces of sapele used in this table are simply gorgeous. Paired with a centre strip of ash with a trio of ash and sapele butterfly keys and sat on ash legs it's simply lovely 😊

Two new pieces to replenish the studio stock following the Art Market. A bow lamp in teak, ash and sapele and a narrow display trestle in elm, ash, teak and sapele. All available to view and or buy from the studio.

A trio of micro tables are the latest creations for the up and coming Christmas Art market at the Ropewalk. Standing at around 250mm tall they are perfectly sized for that all important wine glass or coffee cup .

Beavering away creating some new pieces to kick start this year's studio season. All available to view / buy at the Ropewalk Studio. (studio 15 ) . Can also be viewed at the up and coming Christmas Art market early in December.

Deceptively time consuming to make and paint but rewarding all the same. This is a curved front decorative storage unit to match the canopy made earlier .

Another different commission which evoked memories of building sailing dinghies back in the 90's. This is a decorative canopy made for a local care home dinning room. Deceptively tricky to make but very rewarding.

Another completed piece today in the shape of my Tee Bar stool. A delightful mid height three legged stool . The top is a combination of ash and utile, the front legs are sapele and the rear leg is oak. The stool stands 600mm high x 400mm wide x 350mm deep . It's available to buy from the studio at the Ropewalk.

If I had to attach a name to this piece it would have to be the "butterfly table " . Two lovely old pieces of oak stitched together with mahogany and sapele butterfly keys. I've added a blue resin centre detail for a dash of standout colour and the table top is supported on utile reverse tapered legs. A stunning piece now available to buy from the studio .

Another lovely commission completed. The request was for a coffee table complete with magazine rack that evoked the look of wooden decking on a yacht. A stunning combination of figured ash and walnut achieve this look.

Another lamp commission now complete. This one is to partner the console table I completed a few weeks ago. A lovely matching bow lamp in walnut and ash.

Another successful commission collection this week sees the departure of this lovely mid height bow lamp. Handmade in a combination of sapele and ash. Simple elegance again paired with aged fittings makes for a lovely combination. The final photo is by kind permission of the client.

Weighing in at one of the largest pieces I've made so far , the console table is now complete and looks stunning. Designed to incorporate two existing drawers made for an interesting challenge but the combination of the old drawers and new table structure really work well. All hand made in solid ash with walnut stripe details.

Quick pan round the studio all ready for the open weekend this Saturday and Sunday.

The commission pieces continue to progress well. Although a little way from being complete I was keen to see how the table and lamp would look as a set.
