Managing BIG egos
How do you interview a VIP who’s nervous on camera?
Don’t interview them, have a conversation.
Even top execs get jitters.
This is why I highly recommend you:
1. Warm them up with casual chat.
Ask about their weekend, share a joke.
You’ll see the tension fade fast.
2. Prime them before you call action.
Casually ask your questions while prepping, this gets
them thinking about their responses without pressure.
3. Actively listen. Don’t just fire questions at them.
If they share something insightful ask them to elaborate.
You want stories, not just facts.
4. Give direction. Are they fidgeting?
Not making eye contact? Tell them.
They’ll thank you for it.
5. Stroke that ego. Compliment their insights and thank
them for their time. Leave them eager for the next shoot.
Remember top endurance cyclists have feelings too ;)

P.S. BarrUltra were are the easiest people to work with. All Egos were left at the door. 😊
Hollywood has lost its Mojo. 😢
But this is how your brand can benefit. 😀
Hollywood got hooked on quantity.
They chased algorithms over audiences.
The lesson?
Post better quality content, even if its
less often than you would like.
What does better actually look like?
Content your customers actually want to watch.
When I say “Content” I really mean “stories.”
Audiences remember a video that connects,
entertains, or inspires.
They become loyal, not because you posted daily,
but because your content left a mark.
The brands that win?
They don’t chase trends.
They tell stories.
How can you create better videos?
1. Solve your audience's problems, inspire them, or make them laugh.
2. Plan your story: Every frame should serve a purpose.
3. Cut the fluff: Attention spans are short. Get to the point.
Hollywood lost its way.
That’s a huge opportunity for brands to step up.
Stop ticking boxes. Start creating value.
Are you ready to focus on storytelling?
Share below a video you saw recently that left it's mark.

Christmas might be over, but there’s still quite a few pricks you have to deal with I bet?! 🌲
Pine needles of course!
In your carpet? Your socks? Your bed?
You loved your tree when it arrived all sparkly and fresh.
But by now, it’s gone rogue, shedding needles EVERYWHERE!
Imagine a fake infomercial capturing this chaos.
- Vacuum explosions.
- Pine-flavoured tea.
- Needles popping up in very delicate places (yes, even there).
Why would a company create something like this?
Because humour is one of the most powerful tools in marketing.
It’s memorable. Relatable. Shareable.
When you connect with your audience emotionally, whether through laughter, empathy, or both you stand out from the noise.
Takeaway → Your content doesn’t need to be all serious and polished.
In fact, humour and storytelling can make your brand feel more human.
More likeable 👍
Whether you’re selling tree removal services, software, or sandwiches, remember: people connect with emotions, not features.
So, next time you’re brainstorming content ideas, think about how you can weave in a bit of fun.
Even the prickliest topics can lead to great engagement.
What’s the funniest or most memorable brand content you’ve seen lately?

This video could literally save your life! 😲
Especially if you're out in the Mournes with nothing but flip flops and a plastic carrier bag full of Haribo (yes, actually I've witnessed this.)
We had great fun making this informational video for the Mourne Heritage Trust and they were very much up for having some craic too which always helps!

DISCLAIMER : I’m not usually this angry 😤
According to my family I suffer from a bit of road rage, but I disagree.
I’m simply providing a public service to educate other road users who drive without due care and attention…using some colourful language for added effect. 😇
So if an imaginary bus company wanted a video to encourage commuters to ditch their cars in favour of their bus service we wouldn’t start with how great their service is, because all said and done people love their cars and you need to give them a pretty darn good reason to swap, if only for the odd journey.
Below is an example of how we might convince you to take the bus instead, using emotion, cute kids (biased but I’m not wrong) and a little humour to highlight some of ugly truths about driving and reminding you to enjoy to journey instead as it’s the little things that count.
Would it convince you?
