My daughter , in her eyes dad may not be cool anymore but in my eyes from the day she arrived she has been my special girl , a gift from God and the reason why I’m alive today … when you go a few rounds with mental health or depression kicks you in life you will understand what I mean …. I talk openly about it because I don’t want others suffering is silence , it’s the silence that lead you to a darker place in life. The struggle is ongoing but I know I have to be there for her no matter what , because that’s what Dads do , even if they aren’t just as cool anymore. Be there to listen to explain to guide to help to hug and to give off when needed. No matter what happens I am a proud Father who loves his daughter.

Back in the day with Duke Dumont , he was about to hit number one in the charts and was djing at the club , Thompson’s Garage has continued to grow from strength to strength, not resting on their laurels but quite the opposite, always keeping on top of the new dj spec both audio and visual, in house pa that lets the bass kick your chest with music and always developing new ideas , themes and specialist music nights , local to international DJs and producers have stood in the dj box this is only one part of the story that’s helped them not only stay in the game but also lead the way and set the standards for others to follow. 30 years of clubbing , they have become an inspiration and an institution in music for Belfast and Northern Ireland.
