UWS Radio's answer to Radio 6 Music Live Wednesdays from 5-6pm. Watt covering rock and more alt. music as well.

This show made UWSRadio history when, on the 26th July 2013, a Vinyl-only show was broadcast, the first time this happened in the station's history. Long time, no post!

A long, long hiatus due to busy-ness comes to an end - for one night only.

That's right, the David Allan Show, which has likely had more comebacks than Phil Collins (at this rate) will be back on the airwaves next Monday from 6.30-8pm as part of the marathon 36-hour relaunch & charity broadcast.

Our Story

“The David Allan Show – [the county of] Ayrshire’s home-grown slice of Radio 6 Music”

The show (sometimes called “Dallan Show” for ease) is hosted by David Allan – hence the imaginative title – and a variety of music from the 1960s onwards is played. More often than not though, Post Punk, New Wave, Electronic & Unsigned and Indie Music feature heavily in the playlists.

Until January 2013 David was joined by Chris Houston and Chris Watt, and the show was 2 hours long with a mix of music and banter Generally 60s-Modern music was played, with David tending to play Post Punk/New Wave/Alternative stuff (as well as some Scottish Indie stuff in occasional UWS Presents takeovers), Houston playing 80s Pop (with some more modern tunes too) and Mr. Watt covering rock and more alt. music as well.
