We’re extremely grateful to our staff members and volunteers who poured their time, energy, and passion into making our recent award show a resounding success!

Special shout out to Joel and Micah for being phenomenal hosts and to Lee for ensuring the sound was flawless throughout the night.

We are extremely proud as we reflect on an incredible year of achievements by our talented young people!

To those who took to the stage and showcased their skills, we salute you! Your hard work, dedication and courage to step out of your comfort zones have paid off, and we’re honoured to have been a part of your journey.

The plaques we’ve awarded are more than just a symbol of recognition - they serve as a reminder that with determination, perseverance and a willingness to push beyond your limits, you can achieve anything you set your mind to.

A message from Nathaniel - As the Director of Da Base Music & Education Centre, I am immensely proud of what we have achieved this academic year. Our recent Youth Music Award Show was a shining example of the progress we’ve made—not just in the incredible talents of our young people, but in the growth of our organisation and the vital impact we’re making in their lives.

This year, we’ve seen remarkable growth in the number of young people we’re serving. Our alternative provision & mentoring programmes have become a crucial resource for those seeking a supportive, creative environment to discover their potential. It’s clear that now, more than ever, the need for our services is greater than before.

I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Cllr Lyn Suddards for attending our event and delivering such an inspiring speech. Your presence and support mean so much to us and to the young people we serve.

None of this would have been possible without the dedication and hard work of our incredible staff, volunteers. Thank you for your unwavering commitment and for being such positive role models to our young people.

Thank you to the teachers and support workers we’ve worked with over the years. I also want to thank Tom and Urban Care for sponsoring this event.

To the parents and guardians who trust us with the growth and development of their young people, we are deeply grateful. Your belief in our mission drives us to keep pushing boundaries and creating opportunities for every young person who walks through our doors.

To all the young artists who performed—you’ve shown incredible dedication, creativity and courage. Your journey through music education has been nothing short of inspiring and we’re excited to see where your talents will take you.

As we look ahead to September, we invite more young people to join us, where they can find a place to grow, learn, and thrive. Da Base is committed to continuing this important work, ensuring every young person has the opportunity to succeed.

Only 2 days left until our highly anticipated End of Year Award Show! What an incredible year it's been. I can't wait for our talented young people to showcase their hard work to their parents, guardians, family, and friends. This event promises to be a fantastic conclusion to the year, filled with both excitement and a touch of nervous anticipation. We're eagerly looking forward to seeing each student shine on stage.
