Funniest Wildlife Pictures of 2021 Selected

The Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards has announced the finalists for the Funny Wildlife Photography Competition. In total, 42 works reached the final, which capture funny moments from the life of animals.

The jury of the competition reviewed more than 7000 applications. “The sheer number of images we receive each year demonstrates a commitment to engaging in conservation and reminds us that wildlife is truly incredible and fun, and we must do everything we can to protect it,” said co-organizer Paul Joyson. Hicks.

Among the contestants vying for victory are a masked pigeon, a giggling seal, dancing bears and an angry starling. Voting for the best snapshot will last until October 10, 2021. The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on October 22nd.

In Canada, during a live broadcast of a weather forecast, his dog named Storm burst into the forecaster's studio, writes "Constantinople".
The pet rushed under the feet of the leader, and then followed the owner like a tail. The presenter apologized to the camera and tried to distract Storm by sprinkling "sweets" on him in another corner.
The dog quickly ate his favorite treats, and then returned to the frame.

The national park said that a call from travelers arrived at the unified dispatch service on August 29 at 23:30. A group of four people was returning from the route along the old Shumak trail, where they met a bear. The tourists tried to scare him away and drive him away from the path, but nothing came of it. After receiving the message, the state inspector of the task force, the chief forester and a police officer left for the scene. At 4:30 in the morning, the tourists were found, rescued and taken to the village of Kyren.

According to the chief forester of the national park Bilikto Tsynguev, the tourist group was not registered and was on the territory of the reserve without a permit to stay. The tourists said that they tried to walk noisily and with lanterns, but they could not avoid meeting the predator. As a result, the group decided to retreat to the camp, and the beast pursued them to the river, but eventually fell behind.

Meetings with bears do not always end well: for example, since the beginning of the summer tourist season, there have already been two fatal bear attacks in the Russian nature park Ergaki in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. The first incident occurred on June 21, when a 16 year old teenager went to the forest alone. Two adult tourists went to look for him and met a bear, which by that time had already killed the teenager. One of the men tried to drive the bear away and was injured.
