🔴 Saturday - Practice day...
Poor pace until the last two sessions; gaining P10.
.
🟡 Heat 1:
Starting P16 my aim was to gain a place in the front of the pack. However due to a driver ahead of me having bogged down and a few others then going around the outside, this ended up pushing me back down the pecking order, although I managed to move back to P18.
.
🔵 Sunday - Race day...
Heat two:
Starting P23 at the back; a third corner pile up occurred at the beginning, catching the rear of my kart, which flung it into the air and resulted in a bent axle.
.
Luckily my kart was still driveable and I gained a position. I then continued to overtake and gain a further few places, finishing P15 on track. However once penalties had been applied to the other drivers, I was then very pleased to end up with P11.
.
Heat 3:
Starting close to the front with P6, aiming to remain in the top 10, whilst negotiating a tough grid. Unfortunately my side of the pack had a bad start, resulting in myself losing 3 positions, in the first corner.
.
I went on to gain a position back, then going on to hold P8, with only a few tenths off from P7. My race was looking up, with this being my best position held to date, whilst at Whilton Mill. Unfortunately this wasn't to last when it came to the penultimate lap, my axle became loose and then the brakes went wrong, going into the hairpin, causing me to DNF.

The (A) Final:
I still gained a place despite the DNF. Although grateful for this, I was then starting in P27, when otherwise it would have been P13.

After a delayed start, due to multiple red flags in the previous session, it was finally time to get going. It was a positive beginning; moving ahead by four positions, even though I was suffering with a headache, which was a slight distraction.
.
However I went on to have a few battles and progressed up to P16, going up by 11 positions. Unfortu

On Saturday I initially performed well; bringing the pace all day.

However during my first heat I was unfortunately struck down with unbearable pain in my ribs, causing me to retire early from racing, for the rest of the weekend.
