Schools advised to close as red weather warning issued.

ALL schools in Northern Ireland have been advised to close on Friday, 24 January. The Met Office has issued a red alert, which covers all of Northern Ireland from 7am on Friday until 2pm and is warning of “very dangerous conditions” and “widespread disruption”.

TRIBUTES have been paid following the death of a roofing worker who has passed away almost two weeks after a workplace accident in Keady. Gareth Richardson was airlifted to hospital following an electrocution incident in the south Armagh town on Friday, January 10.

A MAN arrested in the Armagh area in November has been extradited to Lithuania. He was one of two men extradited from Northern Ireland on Tuesday, 21st January - the other was extradited to the Republic of Ireland.
