TRIBUTES have been paid to well-known Mullabrack man Adrian Andrews, who passed away on Tuesday. Mr Andrews was a well known and popular figure in local darts circles, the pipe band scene and the Orange Order.

POLICE investigating the report of a burglary at a nursery school at Mill Row in Caledon on Sunday 1st December have arrested a man. He was arrested in the Portadown area on Thursday, 19th December, on suspicion of burglary (non-dwelling) and remains in custody at this time.

DETECTIVES are investigating a series of burglaries in the Armagh and Tyrone areas. The burglaries occurred throughout the course of Monday, 16th December, and are being treated as potentially linked.

POLICE have confirmed that an adult bird of prey, found dead in the Forkhill area of Armagh in June of this year, was poisoned. It was reported on 12th June that a Peregrine Falcon was found dead in the Forkhill area.

DETECTIVES from the Police Service of Northern Ireland arrested a 30-year-old man on suspicion of sexual assault and causing a person to engage in sexual activity without consent, on Tuesday 10th December. He has since been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

AN alleged incident during a trip to the USA by Armagh’s All-Ireland winning football squad has been reported to the PSNI. Police gave scant detail on the report but it’s understood to relate to an incident during a trip to Miami in Florida in November.

FIREFIGHTERS were called to an incident at St Patrick’s Fold on Scotch Street this morning (Wednesday, December 4). Initially it had been thought there was a fire in the building but on investigation it was found to be steam coming from a burst pipe.
