This original Thai one-sheet is from 1985 and shows Stallone plus supporting characters and a series of high octane action sequences. It’s a perfect example as to why was the most bankable star of the 1980’s.

This incredibly rare teaser poster designed by the Creative Partnership was originally intended to be cut in two and used as individual double crown size posters (20” x 30”) but as the double dagger artwork was so striking and well received some cinema managers left them intact.

This Nightmare On Elm Street (1984) poster sold back in our June 2019 Cinema Poster Live Auction is probably artist Graham Humphreys' most famous piece of cinema poster artwork. The Freddy Krueger spawned a slew of sequels and Humphreys illustrated Quads for these too making this a good consistent series of posters to collect. This is definitely one of our favourite movie posters!

Long before social media, yes there was a time before Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc or immediate online news updates then the cinema was the go to place for up to date visual news. Unless you were one of the lucky 96,924 people who had a ticket to the England and West Germany final on 30 July 1966 or had a television (it was being shown live in black & white) then “GOAL: The Complete Story of the World Cup 1966” was the only place to see England’s historic victory over West Germany. Released in cinemas shortly after the event it was shown in vibrant glorious colour.

Let’s hope they make a movie of England beating Italy to win the Euros at Wembley on Sunday night.

“Exit Through the Giftshop” is an Oscar nominated documentary of how an eccentric French amateur film maker attempted to locate and befriend the anonymous British graffiti/street artist Banksy. The documentary also featured other giants of the street art movement, including Shepard Fairey, Invader, Sweet Toof, Cyclops, Swoon, Ron English, and Buff Monster. The finished movie is a remarkable piece of film-making. The Belgian Affiche offered here was printed entirely in English and distributed to the Benelux countries of Belgium, Luxembourg and The Netherlands. and represents a Banksy designed piece that is often referred to as the ‘Mona Lisa in a shopping trolley’ style.

We are entering the last few days of our first Kickstarter Project - restoring the Mole Miniature Model.

❝ In 1976 I starred in the film, "At the Earth's Core".
I played Dia which was so much fun, and it was a great lead role in the early part of my early film career. I really enjoyed working alongside the very popular Doug McClure and the legendary actor and gentleman Peter Cushing. It was a big film that summer and went on to be watched by so many over the years.
I am so pleased to have heard that the model of the "Iron Mole" from the film has been bought by the National Film & Sci Fi Museum and that they are raising funds to restore it back to its former glory. It's quite amazing that this massive model is still in existence, from such a long time ago, and that people care and want to save items of film history like this. I look forward to being reunited with this model in the near future.
It's a wonderful project and I wish the museum all the luck with restoring the "Iron Mole" model. ❞
