Thanks to your support, we have reached more at-risk children this year. 650 children have been supported each day in the mentoring centres in Central America. 155 new children were added to the programmes the charity supports this year.
200 families have benefited from monthly food parcel donations or fresh fruit and vegetables. 500 children attending the mentoring centres have received free breakfasts or lunches each week. 650 children have been enrolled and supported in education this year. 400 at-risk families receive monthly deliveries of drinking water. The national pass rate for children to complete primary school is only 61%. That´s to say nearly 40% drop out of school and never return. The children in the Street Kids Direct mentoring programme achieved a 100% pass rate this year, a stark difference from the national average.
Two of the centres we support have started their own bakery projects this year. Children have learned to bake bread to support their families.
