⚠️ Update on the Energy Bill Rebate ⚠️

We're working hard to ensure all qualifying households receive the £150 energy rebate as quickly as possible while meeting all the validation checks set out by the UK Government.

Any qualifying household who paid their April Council Tax instalment by direct debit will receive their Energy Rebate into their bank account during the week commencing 25th April.

For all other qualifying households, you will be sent a Post Office voucher directly. This can be cashed, credited into a bank account or used to pay towards your energy bills at any Post Office. We expect to have everything in place to send these letters week commencing 2nd May. There is no need to apply for this payment as we have full details of all qualifying households.

With so many payments to process we appreciate your continued patience.

NEWS: Altrincham to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee with ‘Trooping the Corgis’ Art Event

As part of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Celebrations, Altrincham BID is working with Altrincham Open Studios CIOs to produce Altrincham’s largest town-wide art event, ‘Trooping the Corgis’.

The parading troop of fifty life-sized corgi sculptures will be on guard throughout June and will be displayed in the windows and foyers of shops and businesses around the town making the exhibition accessible to everyone.

Mandy White, Altrincham’s BID Manager explained, “We’re incredibly excited to be working with Inch Arts on this project. This is a unique opportunity for Altrincham and there has already been a lot of interest from the business community who are keen to get involved with this ambitious project.”

Jo Cushing, CEO Inch Arts explained, “Altrincham Corgis will be creatively designed and decorated bytwenty-five specially selected inspirational artists. A further twenty-five will be decorated by
Altrincham’s valuable community groups and wonderful local schools, working alongside an artist, to inspire creativity and inclusivity in our amazing town”.

After the exhibition the Corgis will be auctioned to support public arts projects in the community through Inch Arts, a well-established Altrincham-based arts charity set up 12 years ago to promote
and support positive mental health and wellbeing through creativity.

Inch Arts will be coordinating an Open Call inviting artists to submit their designs.

If you are an Altrincham town centre business, community group or school and would like more information about how you can get involved with the project please email: [email protected]

Very true but a lot of people now a days so greedy try to keep up with the Jones as we use to say doesn't matter if your rich or poor it won't bring happiness only the right people in your life will ♥️ 💙

You came naked
You will leave naked
You came without anything
You will leave without anything
You arrived weak
You will leave weak
So, why so much hatred, resentment, envy, selfishness and pride?
We will all go empty handed, what all material things we have earned, we earned here, and will leave everything here only.
The only thing that will go with you, that you actually earned here is the love you shared, the compassion you showed, the humbleness, your gratitude, your helpfulness, your kindness. That is the legacy you will leave here that everyone will follow.

Tonight’s full moon is the biggest and brightest of 2022 so far.

April’s full moon is traditionally known as the Pink Moon, but as you can see it looked more orange tonight.

Toast in Altrincham have put out this request

“Does anybody recognise this disgusting
person who thought it was funny to climb up our building and urinate on it whilst vandalising the flower display in the process?“

Toast make such an effort with their flower displays it’s a shame to see them vandalised

NEWS: New Management for Green and Co from tomorrow … with all of what you love and so much more planned !!!

Owner Jake announced on Social Media earlier

“It is with a heavy heart I am announcing Green & Co. will be under new management as of tomorrow.

To take an idea from inside your head and build it in
the real world is an amazing experience. It has been
filled with its many ups and downs but recent events
within our local community remind us that life is
short, so if your sitting on and idea all i can say is "go for it".

None of this would of been possible without the love
and support of my family and friends! Those that
know, know! To name but a few Jess, Zara, Ali,
Simon, Tom, Charlie, Tom, Sydney, Scarlet, Amelia,
Maria, Rachel & Becky.

And lastly obviously you guys our customers what an amazing bunch of people I got to see everyday!

We've laughed, cried, we've chatted pure BS and put the worlds to rights!

Opening during a pandemic was either brave or stupid but I really can't thank you all enough for supporting my small business throughout
lockdowns, uncertainty, rain or shine you guys always came through! Thank you for fully embracing the concept, A Salad & Juice bar in Altrincham, hey
who'd of thunk it!

Keep your eyes pealed for exciting changes coming
to Green & Co. All of what you love + so much more!

Remember

"We have the power to make this life a wonderful
adventure, to make this life free and beautiful"
Lots of love”

UPDATE: Gran T's Coffee House ♥️

Hi All,

Firstly, a massive thank you for all your patience, the messages, comments & love shared, it means more than you’ll ever know. Especially reading your memories of Laura. So many heart warming memories that encapsulate what Laura was about. We’re also sending love to those of you who have been affected by this news too ♥️

As you know, we are a tight knit family here at Gran Ts & we are heart broken. But the show must go on. Laura would be fuming with us for being closed for 3 days. Gran T’s meant the world to her & we can’t let her down, now more than ever.
So we will be reopening our doors tomorrow but as you can see times have changed slightly as to not overwhelm our team.

Lastly and importantly, please bare with us. Please be respectful to our team, we’ll be trying our absolute best but your patience is greatly appreciated at this difficult time.

Thanks again & we look forward to seeing you again.

Lots of love,
The Gran T’s Family
x
