CANET Show Welcome to CANET! Hi!! Welcome to the CANET show page. Culture And North East Theatre (CANET) does exactly what it says on the tin.

It's a show dedicated to the arts straight from the North East presented by me, Becca, on Lionheart Radio 107.3fm or online at www.lionheartradio.com. I am not a theatre person and I don't know much about this world so please come on this journey with me as we find out all about culture and Theatre. Find out the answers that you have always wondered about theatre like "why can't you whistle in a t

heatre?" or "why is it unlucky to mention 'The Scottish Play' by name?". I will also be (hopefully) chatting to some talented people from this industry and learning about upcoming events, playing theatre inspired games and more. Plans for Canet's 2nd Birthday on Tuesday 2nd June:
Just under a week to go until Canet's second birthday party. How is Canet 2?? That is insanity as I didn't plan for it to get past 6 weeks! I'm so glad it did though as I've had a great time doing it. Anway as it is Canet's Birthday show I will be reviewing the last year of Canet. It has been a quieter year compared with last year and I am sure that's because last year I wasn't sure what I was doing so everything happened at once. This year I do sort of know what I'm doing now so it was quieter. Also i will be playing music from the 90s and some songs I had completley forgot existed.
Also this will not just be a show celebrating Canet. It's actually going to be a quadruple celebration. I will explain on the show. Also there will be no play quote this time but I will do a double one in July to make up for that.

Just over 2 weeks to go until Canet's 2nd Birthday show (2nd June) and I may have already planned it all! I got excited! Anyway as it's a 90s theme I thought I couldn't not do party bags so I have 8 to randomly give to people in Alnwick on the day of the show!! Sorry there is no cake! I didn't eat it but if I had bought one I would have done let's be honest! x
