The world's gone mad. Basically this chap (in the USA) rescues a young squirrel and cares for it for 7 years. The squirrel becomes in internet sensation. Then some anonymous complaints are made about him keeping it as a pet and representatives from the state Department of Environmental Conservation take it away and euthanize it! Where's the sense and compassion?

A squirrel named Peanut, who became a social media start has been euthanized by state authorities after complaints about his illegal captivity at Mark Longo's sanctuary in Pine City, New York.

You may think it odd that I'm posting an image of myself standing under a tree in the orchard? Well on Sunday around 1500, my Gigaaclear service went down, meaning no internet access over WiFi, and no telephone service (Voip). So I expect you're thinking he's OK because he can use a mobile phone! Well, er.. yes. But I only normally get 1 bar Vodafone reception, 2 bars best, so this was the few locations on Sunday afternoon where I could get a signal! The service was resumed at around 17:00 on Monday. You wouldn't think we were only 7 miles from Oxford.
