I’d like to record my sincere thanks to the choir of St Mary’s Buckland for their help leading singing at the Service of Commemoration for Her Late Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, yesterday evening. I was privileged to join with and accompany Lucie Spickova, and Callum Thorpe, who gave such sensitive individual performances including O rest in the Lord (Mendelssohn), and Libera me (Faure). Needless to say, there was minimal rehearsal time for this event, but there was a supportive congregation.

I am trying to identify a piece of music probably used as a signature tune on BBC R2 in the 70s or early 80s. Below is my arrangement of the main melody in the style I can remember.
